1. I'm trying to come up with designs for characters I've had forever but only in writing.
2. They're probably gonna suck.
3. With all the talk of fascism lately, I'll do some of the resistance people in my headworld

Name: Antony/Cefren
Affiliation: independent / Ordo Aquae Fluentis
Class: Seer
Senator Darius Vitisaria remarks:
"That one is partially my fault, even though I didn't start it. Everyone in the Curia now knows some version of the story, how the Dragon's captain of the guard disappeared and that's why he killed his own secretary, but few people know the juicier details.
For example, how did Antony even get Claudius' attention? They were reluctant to tell, but let's say afterwards I felt in equal parts appalled and in need of a cold shower. I hear it was an exceptional occurence, as that's normally beneath Gadeth's dignity. Antony remembers nothing of it now, how would he when all the things he did happened under the will-less conditioned state the Ordo Draconis Spiritus are subject to? Claudius only found out afterwards, and he said it nearly drove him mad. You know the next part: Years later, when Antony was beaten and wounded in a fight and was to be discarded, Clau had him healed. However, they then dragged me into it, quite literally, not knowing how to finish what they'd started. Angry as I was about what had just recently happened to my brother, I hired him to lead my new investigation taskforce and paid for his treatment. Very illegal, but I felt I deserved it. At first, he did very well, a hard worker who took the job seriously, and powerful as a Seer. Antony now wished to be called by his old name, Cefren. Oh, and unbeknownst to me, his old identity happened to be a FUCKING REPUBLICAN INSURGENT. When he was young and arrogant, he'd challenged the Dragon to a life-or-death duel and lost and got assimilated into the Order. I found that out after the assassins came back for me. He made a point of saving me this once and subsequently joined up with Ardalen and her pack of filthy murderers. Thought he'd paid his debts. Oh fucking no. That's my brother we're speaking of. I had my name secretly expunged from all the papers, and I made sure that Claudius took the fall for me, that pathetic liar.
Antony remains missing for now. Just think about it - he was given a second chance at the risk of two other people's lives, and yet he threw it all away to chase after his vengeance and try a thing that already failed spectacularly once before. Now is that stupid or what?! Or, I don't know, if I were in his shoes, would I feel the same? After all, the man's been violated in every possible way. I hope we'll never meet again, but if we do, it'll be as enemies."

I like this story, it shows so much about this part of your headworld, so many different things and details, all these intrugues. Love how the timeline is filling up.
The magic effect is simple yet so convincing, and I like all the details in their faces. The posing of Darius' arm and hand looks a little bit weird, but Antony's hand and arm are awesome, with all these sharp shadows and the perspective.

Yup, Darius' arm pose came out meh, but it is supposed to be twisted in a way that doesn't fully agree with the joints. ^^
That whole side story is still fairly new. I realized that with Gadeth, I risked pulling a Galbatorix – the supposedly evil king from the Eragon books, who doesn't really do anything too evil most of the time but is a strict, yet actually decent ruler, if it weren't for the 'heroes' to mess things up (while the 'heroes' are horrible, psychotic egomaniacs, neither of which the author intended). x) So I made things rather grimdark in that case to prove the point. *applies black eyeliner generously*
Thanks a lot!
