I was talking to Chris about what the kids of EGK and Kalista would look like. I started by drawing a little girl, and asked Chris to make her a brother. I asked for a younger brother, but since Jake looks older than Arabella, I decided to make him the oldest of the three children and got Chris to make another brother, younger this time.

Anyhoo, Jake is much like his father was before he met Kal. While he loves and respects his mother, and adores his siblings, he's got that 'Meh, why should I care?' attitude.
