So, a friend of mine got me into Armello early last year ... absolutely love it. Very refreshing concept, good gameplay and story, though I particularily fell in love with Zosha and while I really shouldn't have spent any time on it at all, I sunk half my sunday into this little token of appreciation.
I love both, her gameplay and her character lore and I feel she's not getting the representation some of the other characters are getting. Then again, maybe promoters of evidence to her passing are just systematically taken o-*

Brun takes a while to properly build up - either tanky as hell, all-out offensive or a blend thereof. The key about playing him right is maintaining a large mana pool and then casting a ton of spells with it before entering combat since every spell cast gives him a stacking buff to his combat abilities which makes him pretty darn hard to deal with. The major problem is, to do this quickly enough before the king dies one way or another. If you want to really go over the top you combine this with rot. I on one occasion managed to out-rot the king himself which made the fight pretty darn devastating for him... he took like 16ish HP of damage - enough to kill him four times over...
XD Nice
I did another round with Zosha last night. Took scratch and pushed her combat with the quests. Ended up with a Zosha that wielded natural 9 die +2 from equipment. The one palace guard that attacked me as I approached got completely rekt, with no losses and I got to banish the king with stones X3

It shows, I have gotten so used to your soft, but somewhat quicker art style from Forest Tails now, that I didn't even realize this was your piece of work. Favorited it, instantly, and then went to check who actually made it.
On the subject note, I was so excited for Armello when I first saw it's concept art, but am uninterested in the gameplay itself. Was so hoping for a Jak & Daxter style game, running around as interesting anthromorphic characters, platforming and battling it out in a fantastic fantasy world. Still have it followed on Facebook though, just because I love the art so.

XD well hey, good to know I'm still good for a surprise or two. Just goes to show I haven't been uploading enough though. Forest Tails takes priority over just about everything these days, but I've noticed I miss doing "regular" art.
As for the game; I was sceptical about it when my friend told me, but then he just steam-gifted it to me and I haven't stopped enjoying it since ^^

I adopted early, but after a while it stagnated for me, and really not because of the game itself. It's significantly more fun playing online, especially with how funny the emotes can get, but where I live, it's difficult to get a reliable internet connection for gaming, ESPECIALLY when I don't have unlimited internet.
I mainly play as Thane because (aside from wolves being a favorite) he works well with my main play style; guns blazing, let the god of their choosing sort out the pieces.
It's led to my own death more than once. Tried Barnaby once, pretty fun to use.
I think, last I heard, anyway, that the character with the least characterization was River.

Ah, no internet connection sucks. The game really is a lot more fun when you can backstab your friends <.<
I've tried a few of the characters, though for some reason I seem to favor the female one's. Zosha, Sana and River are my regulars. And yes, River seems to be left out a bit in the character development department, but then who cares about that omega anyw-*arrow'd*

River seems cool, but I'm not sure I entirely like her ability. Unless this was changed recently, I didn't like how if her arrow attack on the field killed an enemy, it counted as using one of your move points.
I have never been able to get Rot or Kingslayer victory. I keep ending up getting killed by the King, or I can't garner enough Rot to do so, and the constant damage from Rot doesn't help.
I did find a fan comic for Armello that centered around Thane, there River seemed like an attendant of his.

Well, it'd be a little op if you got free attacks to kill people with. The fact alone that you have an attack that automatically hits at -1 and can't be countered is pretty strong. I feel losing 1AP for a kill isn't that outlandish.
I got kingslayer once or twice (with Zosha at night, because super many dice and lots of luck), but I haven't managed a rot victory yet. Then again, I haven't really tried for it yet. Maybe next time.
If I recall right, River is Thane's sister, so it makes sense they'd at least know eachother on a level. Care to link that comic?

I guess I don't like being kept away from my mission objectives. I recall how ticked I was when I was two spaces away from a mission, I had Corruption, and the STRANGER JUST DECIDED TO MOVE ME TO A STONE CIRCLE, KILLING ME, LOSING MY ENTIRE TURN, AND SENT BACK TO THE CLAN GROUNDS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BOARD.
I'm kind of a poor strategist, so I can't quite get the right stuff for getting at the king.
Don't recall his FA account, but I follow him on DeviantArt. http://purpleground02.deviantart.com/
It's set before the events of the game, and ends around when it would start. He's stated that that's as far as the story will go, though. Pretty good run.
