Ivan the Zombie Yinglet
As a younglet, Ivan was found to be the sole survivor in a burlap sack pulled out of the river. The sack was full of his yinglet brothers, apparently someone only wanted the female and discarded the rest.
Despite his beginning, Ivan was the happiest yinglet in the enclave. Humans avoided Ivan because whenever someone touched his fur, they could smell death, which was probably an untreated skin infection. But when Ivan was around other yinglets, they never noticed a smell.
When Ivan got to be around 30 years old, his skull partially caved in, and the ear on that side fell off. The matriarch had taken Ivan to a human veterinarian to put him down to ease his suffering, but the vet said that as long as he was breathing and eating and pooping, then there really wasn't anything wrong with him. So he was brought back to the enclave to live out the rest of his days.
It soon became apparent after his skull partially collapsed that he no longer felt pain. It appeared the part of his brain that felt pain was damaged by the collapse. After a while, Ivan's tounge became blackened from constant biting, until his teeth fell out. This never affected his personality though, and perhaps because he could not feel pain, it actually made him the happiest yinglet of all. And he ended up out living almost every yinglet as well. Finally just took a nap one day and never woke up, at the ripe old age of 40 years old.
