Another art of a future character in an RPG I shall try to run.

In the first century BCE, Roman Legate Gaius Vexius and his 5000 legionaries were sent on a mission of exploration and treasure hunting. Their travel led them into a deep jungle in occupied territory. There, they stumbled across a strange shrine to an ancient primal spirit. When the legion stopped to rest, some soldiers knocked over the shrine, and took the few gems that were embedded in it. This angered the ancient spirit of the shrine, which levied a curse on the entire legion. The 5000 soldiers of the legion were turned into simple iguanas, although their minds were left intact; the better to suffer the curse. Legate Vexius was cursed and turned into a large humanoid lizard monster. All of them were further cursed with immortality, so they would be forced to live for millenia as either lizards, or a monster.

For nearly 2000 years, this vanished legion has hidden in the deep jungle, afraid to ever venture out. Stories of disappearances and deaths were long attributed to the dark jungle. In the game, a group of explorers in the 1890's venture into that same jungle. What might happen when they encounter the ancient former Roman Legion General-turned monster?
