This particular reaper, however, seeks to collect the souls of the corrupt and the cruel, stoically facing down the monsters of the mortal plane, beckoning them... to do their worst.
For a number of reasons, some which I'll likely explain later down the road, the reaper theme is one that I find strongly appealing. You'll likely see more works along the theme of "Mag stands stoically challenging danger" and "Mag the reaper" in later things XD

The original idea of Mag as a "reaper" does draw a number of references from Darksiders 2,
But I gave the artist numerous environment references, including a number of Dante's Inferno ones, and essentially told them, "grab the one you like best, and go nuts!" And I'm quite glad for it XD
And while it may be a little bit on the reaper theme, there certainly will be more after a while XD

A number of references from Darksiders 2 were used in fact XD But the reaper thing is also just *that* interesting to me, for reasons that'll I'll get into later, perhaps November/December XP

also, can't help but think most art submissions would be improved with an music chosen by the artist. just can't see why ppl don't do that, like, all the goddamn time. either sad violin or strengths of a thousand man, or even this kind of stupidity in some cases.
