an upload from my porfolio, a creature I designed for a personal VR project. This was mostly to get an idea of rough color and texture. I also had some issues figuring out how the wings will generally fold up and work, as well as adding appeal into the face. At the moment I am in the midst of rigging/UVing the creature, which has proven much harder since I made her mechanical. So hopefully I will have some 3D stuff to show too.

I use Maya to model/rig/animate, and 3D-Coat to UV. In the end it all goes to Unity for the VR part. The process of UV'ing in Maya is very tedious and doesn't give great results, so I found an external program works best for me. This is proving to be especially helpful given how many complex parts I'm dealing with.
