This is crib #30 I've built since 2003. Made of solid oak, it fits a twin size mattress.

Again, not furry specific but it's what I do.

Now THATS a crib. ^^ Are they easy to take apart and put back together for moving purposes?

Yup, they knock down just like a regular bed. No fasteners and no tools needed, except maybe a hammer to tap down the mattress rails. Assembles in three minutes flat when all the parts are in the room. Disassembles even faster.

Not my thing but I'm a fan of good carpentry. It's simple and functional, very nice. How easy is it to get in and out? does the side open in anyway?

The side slides up and down just ike a real baby crib, and the user gets in and out via a stepstool. It was the best compromise because I would either have to shorten the gate, or raise the mattress. Either option would have thrown off the balance of the design.

I was thinking of a hidden/sunken hinge with a magnetic latch so you can just pull it open and close.

not a baby for nor do i "swin" that way but this is very very impressive. not just the quality but the whole scaled up'ness of it. very very nice work
