Vanessa lives in the Sinnoh Region at Jubilife City. She became a trainer at the age of 12 and her first partner BoneCrusher the Turtwig (now a Torterra). Vanessa is part of a biker gang known as "The Arbok's Road Rage" travelling around the world on their motorcycles, building bonds, eating at the restaurants but most of all battling trainers from around the world and have a blast; but when a gang split's up to travel they always find a way meet each other in one place or another. At the age of 20 she became the new leader of the gang and one day when she was travelling at the Orre Region, she met a peculiar looking Mewtwo and manage to capture it with a master ball given by her late father/leader of the biker gang. The (mewtwo now named Primrose) was rather annoyed and relieved that she was captured by a trainer and not one of those Cypher grunts for further experimentation. The both of them bonded for quite some time and soon became friends while traveling the world on a motorcycle.
