The shading on this is quite nice. Have you ever tried making woodcuts or carving tile stamps? I think you'd be fabulous at it.

I've tried woodcuts, but there's one ultimate drawback for me doing such things - I am rarely able to draw (or otherwize produce) a line right at the first stroke, and neither woodcuts nor tile stamps, as far as I know, don't allow much editing. So well, I need to practice much, and maybe I'll get to doing these things.

Thanks for assuming I may be good at them, though, I think it may motivate me trying again! ^^;

I think they make projectors and pencils you can use to transfer drawings to wood or tiles. I think I remember you saying something about being in collge; if you are, ask someone in the art department if they have the proper materials for woodcuts or tile stamps. If the spirit ever moves you, that is. ;D

Well, technically you probably can call it college, although there is no distinct correspondence between education systems. It's Sankt-Peterburg State University, and yes, I am writing my Master thesis now ^^

As for the Art department, sad thing is, that we don't really have one. Art "colleges" and academies here are traditionally separated and rather closed for outsiders. It's beginning to change, but very slowly. But yes, I'll try looking for such supplies in the art supplies stores!
