I rarely post real life photos on here because, well let’s face it: it’s fa and most people are just on here for smut art and to escape real life. That and I try to keep my real life and furry life as separate as possible. But today I’m making an exception because: 1) I haven’t posted anything in a while, and 2) It involves food.
As most of my friends know, I am kind of obsessed with fitness and healthy eating now. So when one of my coworkers told me she has a friend that makes healthy yet tasty cupcakes, cookies, and cakes that are made of protein? I may have thrown a handful or so of money at her to go get me a fix of this delicious goodness
Before anyone asks:
• No, I did not make these cupcakes, nor do I know how they’re made: I have a “protein dealer” at my job that supplies me with them from her personal dealer (I’m not kidding about that process; that’s how we get our fix, haha)
• Yes, they are completely healthy AND tasty as heck!
• Per cupcake, they contain:
150 calories
18 grams of protein
3 grams of fat
7 grams of carbs
Low sugar
• And…they have a layer of peanut butter on them! Peanut butter makes everything better. I used to wonder why people who are hardcore fitness fanatics love peanut butter so much: it's all clear to me now.
I use these treats as motivation to work out (moreso than usual) so I can have one as a reward when I’m done. They’re that good, haha.
Meh, I’ll post some real artwork later; in the meantime enjoy some healthy snacks~

I'm not going to lie, I did not think it was possible to make healthy AND tasty cakes, cupcakes, and cookies (at least that don't taste like cardboard) but this woman proved me wrong! I already told her she is going to make a cake for my birthday this year, haha
Oh, you eat healthy foods too? I mean I've seen your picture so I know you're in good shape but I did not know you did low carb foods as well. Do you still eat fairly healthy or just monitor your food intake and exercise?

I kind of just eat based on whatever taste/texture I like the most, which is usually healthier and more natural things anyway. Right now I eat a lot of pizza, but it's usually wholemeal dough with toppings like garlic, olives, avocado, etc. Still need to cut down though... Might even go grab an energy drink, haven't had one of those in forever (they seriously need to make those with low sugar & caffeine; I only like them for the taste, and the taurine is good for the kidneys). XD
Other than that, it's just making logical decisions; usually trying to substitute unnecessary carbs with fats (it's the only one of the three that doesn't cause metabolic cell death & premature aging, to my knowledge... It's also much cheaper and doesn't dehydrate the body!).
How's it coming along for you?

Pizza...ugh, I haven't had any pizza in SO long! I'm basically eating the same things but smaller portions, less bad carbs (eg: excessive breads) and more protein as need be. As for exercise, I'm running outside more...well not by choice, until I get a new treadmill. But running outside on pavement, combined with weight training and HIIT (high intensity interval training), is really starting to help cut and tone my body! I'm even finding it easier to do pushups and crunches now: I'll have that six pack in...oh another year or so? LOL
