I've been sitting on the sketch of this pic for a long time. I would give the original artist credit but they stopped responding to my messages after the sketch was completed, leaving me colorless and refund-less. I'd rather not promote such behavior.

But hey!  scythemouse got this done faster that you can jack in a P.E.T.! ..That's referencing a different spin off isn't it?

The only real problem now is figuring out this guy's backstory. I know he's from the Mega Man X universe, he's really fast, he uses knives, he likes to have fun, and he's based heavily on my fursona, Daniel "Dakinu" Ferris.

I'm thinking he was some kind of interceptor of data couriers. As in, he was designed to take out and steal top secret info from other robots. Info that was too sensitive to transmit digitally. But one day he's lured into having a night on the robot town. or whatever. He has so much fun ends up rebelling so that he could have more fun or find his own path or something. He might not have even drawn too much attention with his little rebellion if it wasn't for all the data he's stolen and absorbed over the years. Can't have that wandering around. So he enters the ranks of the mavericks for protection from the hunters. Maybe. It's still pretty vague.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?
