The blue fox was also a part of the big concert at the end of the Rock Dog Movie, playing alongside Bodi!
Hope you guys can go watch this movie, I personally don't see it winning any awards soon, but I enjoyed it quite a bit! :-P

Considering how the protagonists normally tend to be in animated movies, Bodi is a breath of fresh air as he isn't snarky, salty, sarcastic and he doesn't insult, mock of make fun of people. His cute design, somewhat adorkable personality and that he doesn't have a mean bone in his body makes him quite admirable. You just wanna give him a hug. Normally animated characters like that are never the main characters, but either secondary, supporting or background characters. I haven't been this captivated by a main character since Cinderella (2015). Both films are "old-fashioned" but they work and their executions are well-done.
I figured. Seems like Bodi's only negative traits is his naïveté and unfamiliarity with the rest of the world. While he's almost eternally optimistic, happy, and friendly to everyone he meets, and is never shown getting genuinely angry, he's been fooled by people who lie to him, sets his expectations too high, and is easily taken advantage of. But the movie isn't being mean-spirited about it, and it does offer conclusions like Bodi replacing Trey as the band's lead guitarist and singer and Angus being unintentionally guilt-driven to make amends. And Bodi does seem to have grown as a character from all of that experience.
On a side note, I like how they handled the father-child relationship. It felt very organic. While the Disapproving Father trope is nothing new, films like "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Moana" seems to follow some kind of King Triton-esque checklist and do nothing new with it and it's getting kind of old at this point. Here, while Khampa disapproves, he's being down-to-earth about it and doesn't suddenly lose rationality and starts bursting into a rage and yelling at his son. Attempting a scheme to scare Bodi into wanting to be a guard and giving him an opportunity to fulfil his dream were really nice and welcomed additions.
Overall, Bodi has become one of my favorite animated characters. I know adjectives like "bland", "boring", "forgettable" and such are likely to come out of some people's mouth regarding him, but I've learned that even simple, "old-fashioned" things are still capable of bringing joy.

True, I cannot find one moment where he was being sarcastic or mean to people, which is a first for a movie and a first for me when it comes to a animated male character
Agreed, the father son method they did was refreshing, and honestly, both characters had faults in the beginning, but then grew from that and became a better family by the end. And you're right, Bodi is refreshing to me also because he doesn't carry alot of tropes that people associate with main characters, and I think it's sad that alot of people pass him up (or this movie) just because he bounces to different locations on a whim
