I love it and addicted. I have to say though, I'm making more progress in my current playtime than I did when I played the original on PS2. When my ex and I split, he took his PS2 and I lost all my progress and was kinga torqued that I had to start over.

Big MHF fan as well. First played MH1 for the PS2 about... 7-8 years ago. I've gotten and played all 3 MHF games. Recently got PSP Action Replay so I've been able to up my game (I may be cheating but now i'm not afraid to do the quests I could never dream of trying).

Action Replay??

Yes. The Kut-Ku i can beat in under a minute, even in high level quests so the AR isn't needed for it.

I never heard of an Action Replay, what does it do??

An action replay is a cheat code system for games. I got one for my dsi.

Again, excellent work.

Kut-ku: the first wyrven proper any Monster Hunter will face. Fairly quick on it's feet, but easy pickings for all but the least experienced of players. Any weapon and playstyle will work here, just sneak in and cut loose.
Advanced tips: Aim for the head, the "earfins" can be "broken" and will appear tattered, this will get you extra rewards. When kut-ku is near death (approx 20% health or less), the earfins will fold down against the head. This is a surefire way to tell when it's time lay down traps if you want to Capture it. Hitting Kut-ku with a barrel bomb or sonic bomb will temporarily stun it, and cause it to drop a shiny, which can be picked up, however, once it breaks out of it's stun animation, it will go directly into rage mode.

He can be really annoying at times, and even catch the most skilled hunter off guard.

Heh, it barely counts as a wyvern, seems more like a very angry oversized chicken to me! He gave me hell the first time I fought him in my crappy gear though, I wasn't very good about avoiding him when he got angry. Also the black cats that steal your items in the same room were not helping things out.

He's very cool. I regret not having that game.

One of the easiest beasties to kill, yet so rough when you are first starting out. Very nice work on the detail!
