And I'd make the third Doggo less of a compositional presence- he and coach are competing with each other.
And make him either an active participant in the coaching, or an observer who is 'feeling what the audience is supposed to be feeling/ or motivating you to sympathize with the weak doggo'- like shocked face, laughing etc.

You are right about the face.
There was a period of time i was sticking a bunch of different silly mouths on the standing dog just to mess around. but!
While he does help maintain the composition, the original idea was that he was counting. But at this point it looks like he is just holding up a peace sign (oops). Giving him a more involved expression would defiantly change the context of his role. Or even his gesture and props.

Yeah it looks like he's like tots uninvolved.

lol but for real you nailed it in the comment. gesture or props would change the whole connotation of his presence and enrich this. If you revisit it to improve your portfolio I'd say go for it.
Especially if you are applying to anything like online episodic internships or jobs.
The face is pretty good.
