Yeah, the perspective makes it look smaller than it is. I used a reference photo, but I didn't quite manage to convey where the eye level is (it's as if you're also kneeling). I've gone and redone the piece a little to give it a higher ceiling.

I definitely plan to do more work like this. This is the direction I've been going for a while now. As for how long it takes, this piece took me somewhere between 10 and 15 hours, and I could have spent more time on it.

This is really great, the whole scene makes me wish for more stuff like this in computer games. :-3

hmmm... I think it would suck to be turned into a mouse but at least he is being turned into something with fur! Good job! : ) I love how the blue magic wisps look which you probably have already heard. So is he turning into something like Splinter from TMNT or a little regular mouse?

I think its an amazing piece, would look excellent in a storybook. I like how you managed to draw enough information in the background to give us a clear setting, but its quite impressionistic in its brush applique.

Wow this is wonderful! I love the colors! And the lighting! And everything! I also agree with one of the above posters, it reminds me a lot of King's Quest. Though I cannot recall any moments from the games as far as I remember, that resemble the event taking place in this picture, it's still got that same imaginative feel. It's spot on! If they ever bring that franchise back you should apply for a job :)
