Was more than about time that I'd return to properly say thanks with a comment, Selphy. I sometimes am terribly slow with these because I get easily overwhelmed with things and cannot concentrate well on what I want to say. I appreciate it nontheless a lot and find you should know that I still feel happy about one and other oppurtunities. Namely, not only that you took the time out of your scedule to draw Shiny and Char here but in general that you are helping with your share of talent and joy for creative content that there is even more of happy and toony illustrations throughout the community. Thanks for all that and you hopefully forgiving me being such a Slowpoke. <X3

It's always one of the nicest experiences when I get to see Shiny having fun with other friendly characters. Char and me both find fun with silly and amusing ideas, cartoon shenanigans and playful encounters. Typical and sweet content of your round Pokémon series, a pump-off for Shiny and Char. The results are another cute entry for sure.
What I always enjoy in your character display is the way how facial expressions mostly give off that adorable vibe by having round and petite features to the body built, mainly for such things like feet and hand paws. It overall makes the designs appear a bit more kawaii and chibi to go with the Japanese terms. =3

In this one out of the three panel series Shiny and Char have already started to engage into that competition. The rules quite easy: Two Pokédudes (Char is part Charmander afterall), two step pumps. The one staying afoot til the end is the winner.
And based of we see, Shiny's tummy looks quite ballooned out already. Totodile in general have somewhat of a beanshaped body already so it's not easy to say if that might be somewhat of a disadvantage or make it simply more apparent on first sight. It definitely seems like if the Charsune (he's not a Vulpix ;3) is taking off to a bit of a headstart.

I like the body language here. You can basically see that Shiny is already trying hard to balance himself out as his hips are surging out. That gets well also displayed by the various comic elements of action lines on both characters. Char does only appear a bit wider and with much enthusiasm steps down on his pump while Shiny seems to prepare to do so still. One can either read that choice as first notion of that Char is quicker or has a bit of an advantage with his longer legs. It surely doesn't mean that Shiny lost any spirit and still eagerly goes for a possible win. =D

The way you made their eye cordination being seemingly fixated on keeping their flexible hoses (which are in a typical fasion of these kinda works prepped with extendable hoses which is quite practical) inside their jaws or they are observing the growth of their challenger, is a neat touch and looks interesting from that angle.
And the cell shading and outline color choice give it additionally a nice and friendly, soft and happy toned comic strip-esque sequence.

I am happy that I could share this one with both you and Char as a positive experience and say thanks in the name of both of the fellas who's mascots got illustrated here. It's always acknowledged. =3
