What a chubby lovable fuckin face. There's a lightly cartoony quality in the face-- and I think also in the almost perfect brick-shape that this guy takes on. Haha. But the whiskers on the face are also handled so damn delicately, and in a way particularly realistically; in this rabbit it's the little lines of detail and ruffs in the fur and whiskers that read as most direct/real/natural/present.
Haha, man, I'm glad you point these out to me, 'cos otherwise I wouldn't ever notice the progress. With these studies I always go for a general "cartoon" feel. That is, simple lines and textures and a more anthropomorphized facial expression. I need to do this a LOT more to perfect whatever the fuck it is I'm trying to do.
