So, if you've read my failed concept sketch comments, you are probably wondering who WILL be the fourth member of my "ghost hunting" team. Well, meet Natsumi Ina.

When I first started sketching Natsumi, I decided to try giving her the look like her headfur was long but also laid back so it wouldn't be in her eyes as well. It wasn't until I started sketching her Dread Plate pack that I realized she had an air of 'cool' and 'calm' that the other two didn't display. She didn't look scared, or cocky or reckless. Seriously, who'd be this calm while running around, fighting ghost?

And that's when it hit me. She was used to them. She was a freakin' Ninetails. She probably knew more about spirits and dealing with them while she was still at home with her parents, than the trio of paranatural investigators that was Psykes, Hunter, and Jinx. So, yes, Natsumi knows a thing or two about spirits.

In keeping with that train of though, I came up with Natsumi's 'spirit friends', a pair of Will'o'Wisp fire orbs she's named Willow and Wisp. They do listen to her but can get bored, in which case Natsumi will just 'dismiss' them for a time. They also make handy little items when she needs to use her Flash Fire ability.

So there you go, Natsumi Ina, Ninetails, and spiritual expert-in-training.
