Timeless: A Lifetime Alone, Ahead
Two spirits which were briefly, joyously, as one, are once more cast apart by the cruel whim of fate. The battle is won, but at high cost. This day will haunt Vygo until the day he dies. The Spirits claim another, she joins their heavenly ranks. The idea of her looking down on him is no comfort at all.

Last night FA borked while I tried to post this and it ended up not showing up in people's inbox... so I'm posting it again.

Neat! She got to die slaughtering her foes in a battle alongside her kin. If there's a such thing as a death truly worthy of a Dragon, I think that one fits.
Death comes to everyone, in the end. That you get to choose the where or the how or the why is not a luxury many are afforded. Dying in battle is the closest most people will ever come - even if they didn't intend on dying, they knew it was a possibility from the start.
Old age rarely comes to claim those with a burning fire in their hearts, they often crumble to ash long before.

Its interesting how often it's the sister who dies. For my sibling pair, if the brother died, the sister would move on with her life (after a long period of grieving, naturally), but if SHE died, the brother would be shattered. I think it's because men often need a woman to keep them grounded, but women can do fine without a man.
