MOI is a much better program. :T Unfortunately the penguin's left flipper fucked up (its hard to see here), probably because I copied and mirrored it in MOI.

Yup!
There are some quirks with it.
Save often. Prepare for frustrations in the first 20 hours of use before you feel comfy enough to use it! :C .. But I think it'll end up being worth it.
There are other programs for other options but I haven't been on recently enough to really know what's up with the general workflows of SL.
Maya is always supported.
Certain programs like MoI are great for simple objects and I think it's actually improved its features enough that it's a great editor for SL, too.
I like Zbrush a lot because it supports a feature called polypainting, it feels organic with its tools, and polypainting, coming back to that, is great since you color your texture directly onto your completed Ztool (the name given for 3D editable objects.. well that's actually a "polymesh" but.. Ztools are the save files for 3D objects in Zbrush! .. Save as Ztool, not as Document!).
