I feel so unsure
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
As the music dies, something in your eyes
Calls to mind a silver screen and all its sad goodbye.
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
And waste a chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you.... ooohhh
Time can never mend
The careless whispers of a good friend
To the heart and mind ignorance is kind
There's no comfort in the truth
Pain is all you'll find
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
And waste a chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you ....oooh
Tonight the music seems so loud
I wish that we could lose this crowd.
Maybe it's better this way
We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say.
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever
But now who's gonna dance with me
Please stay...
I'm never gonna dance again
Guilty feet have got no rhythm
Though it's easy to pretend
I know you're not a fool
I should have known better than to cheat a friend
And waste a chance that I've been given
So I'm never gonna dance again
The way I danced with you ....oooh
When your heart aches,
Yet your lips can't say it,
Let your fingers whisper the feelings through the strings
And wash the hurt away with the rage of the stormy seas
On my trip to Trinidad, I've been hearing this song played over and over on the radio. Such a wonderful remake of the original, I got inspired to do a melodramatic piece while I was there...
Didn't know what it meant then... but it fits so perfectly now...

This is beyond sweet, Spearfrost. This has been a song that I adored since I was a youth and never knew the title of until now, and to see you put it into an image is way past gratifying to me on so many levels. Though this version of the song is pretty sweet, the original remains supreme.
Hehe, I love that song. It's really good. Haven't listened to it in a while. And I have to say I absolutely admire your ability to draw such a beautiful instrument. Being a guitarist, it's even more reason I love it. So many people cannot draw guitars to such a detailed level. The detail in the fixed board alone, my Gods. Wonderful job. I am stuck in awe of the whole piece. I'd want to see the originally sized piece. To draw such detail this had to have been much larger.
Heheh, you're very welcome. And I do have to agree with you on having the real thing over your best guess. I could imagine. Especially the board and pick-up's. I know how detailed they are in real life since I've had to fix them, which is probably just as much of a pain as it is to draw them xD
This is such a cool interpretation of the classical Greek (if not mistaken) mythos. I love how you were able to modernize it, especially the whole elemental fury. Now there just needs to be some hapless soul crashing at her feet (and NO, I am NOT volunteering for that! :p )
