Every girl grows up wanting to be a princess. I love the story of Beauty and the Beast because Belle is not your typical princess. She doesn't fit in, she is nerdy, she has a weird family, and she wants to escape the town that does not understand her. When Belle is taken captive by the Beast she shows him the love that he really did not deserve. She looked past his scary face and harsh attitude and became his friend when she had every right to hate him.

Everyone has their high and low points in life. How many times have we treated those around us like the Beast treated Belle? How often do we overlook the beauty around us and only point out the hate and the despair? How many times have we looked right past the Belle standing in front of us who is longing to make us smile?

I know that this is something that I struggle with a lot and I am sure that I am not alone. When life gets hard I tend to turn into a big, ugly, selfish Beast who sees nothing but hate.

Lucky for me, I have Belles who are looking out for me every day, who love me through my grumpy times and who remind me that my heart is pure (even when it is hidden behind anger and frustration).

Thank you to all of those who love me through the hard days and make me feel like a princess when I am acting like a Beast.
