So I found out today that 
MagicalTF apparently has contests for writing TF stories over on dA every month.
And since I write some kind of story every month I figured why not enter. So... Here's a story I put together in the last two hours and holy crap how did I do not normally get stories done this fast.
Anyway the prompt was my best friend is a what, where I had to have the point of view character witness someone else who has a transformation experience of sorts.
Somehow, this turned into a magical girl story. Don't ask how it just happens.
So enjoy a story about crime fighters, magical girls, dragons and some guy who is somehow the main character despite not being any of these.

Wow, this was a fun experience. Other than an anime trope that has always grated on me (the "You were staring at me naked?!/You don't think I'm pretty!?" thing that usually ends with someone's fist in someone else's face-- though you used it much better than most anime and anime-inspired works do!), I thought this was a really cool and funny story, and I love that you wrote it from the perspective of an ordinary guy who isn't used to anime-style weirdness. I also like that the relationship between Mike and Susan is platonic; usually, the normal fella and the magical one get romantic, and it always feels a little contrived. Plus, Dr. Mally was hilarious. I love the idea of the huge evil villain being kind of a schlub.
This was intended to be slightly satirical. Something of an affectionate parody. Magical girl anime is a bit of guilty pleasure for me...
Having said that as much as I wanted to make it clear they're not romantically involved, I'm sure somewhere out there someone is going to interpret this as "oniichan" romance.
