Life makes us all into trash mammals in our own little way...
I've been enjoying Night in the Woods recently. I discovered it from PatrckStatic, then Jacksepticeye (which I'm still following. I love his dubbing for this series), and finished it off from a YouTuber called Checkpoint. It's a really interesting game and emotional one for that. I love the 2D-Vector style and simplistic aesthetics portrayed, yet fine detailing on design and animation. The music is beautifully orchestrated and the dialogue is just to die for. Best part has to be the dialogue.
If you don't know what N.I.T.W is, it's a story based coming-of-age mystery game played through an anthropomorphic cat named Mae who returns to her home town after suffering another mental breakdown from college.
As stylized and animated as this game maybe, it is so true to life and super close to realism in terms of capturing our personal emotions. The story and the issues faced by the main characters are something we all encounter in our daily lives, or even know someone experiencing those types of social and personal issues.
I could really relate to the story, and I feel we all have a little bit of each character in us, including the struggles & joy they face. You could really sympathized for these 2D characters, but personally for me, more so for Mae and Bea. Their issues hit closer to home.
So what better way for to show my feelings and support for this game than to spoof it.
Sorry about the lengthy and faint dialogue, fellas. Got lazy to replicate the typography of the original game. Download for full view, I suppose.

Nice pic! and I really like this game's story....feels really similar to my own story (as ZoeLycan) in many aspects....I used to have a rock band, and my best friend back then was a Lizard (Iguana) girl, around the time I droped College, and some stuff in my life when down the drain, crazy how I see so many similarities when I 1st saw it
Very nice picture, but it seems like you sold yourself a bit short by just watching other people play it. I know there are multiple paths and choices to make so if you really like what you saw you should pick it up for yourself if you get the chance. ^^ I just started playing it and it's charming as all heck. <3
I watch other people play it because I myself am not a gamer. I don't invest in games. I'm not skilled enough for it. I appreciate games for what they are and what they can do, but I wouldn't be one to shell out half my commissions worth on games. I rather invest it in my true passions such as military antiques, or save it as much as I can given the hard times. I'd rather use it for priorities in my already tough life.
So many references and kinda funny that's actually how Mae is and pretty much with a low alcohol tollerance, also found it funny that even Tattletail was in there... I really need to play NITW sometime instead of just watching it on YouTube and trying to take my time watching it and still nice to see more people are becoming aware of the game than just a few that knew about it for a couple of months... Or however long it's been out since 2016.
They represent things of my real life interest. They also are items I own and wear in reality.
The medal is based off my love of collecting military antiques.
The two pins represent my fandoms, the Furry and Brony.
And the French Cockade is my favor for Les Miserables and music.
