H o w I A c t: With Taemin, your first meeting with him can be completely different from his first meeting with someone else. With one person, he can be quite shy, adorable and quite the pushover. With another, his attitude can spike; Snarky, aggressive, defensive, and basically a bitch.
But no matter how you meet him, he ends up being the same way; One of the most adorkable boys on the planet. Once one really gets to know him and gets on his good side, Taemin will allow himself to –really- be himself. This means; Following bugs around, asking to go on adventures (Complete with an Indiana Jones outfit), and the ability to enjoy his delicious cooking.
However, as old as he is, Taemin seems to yet hit puberty. He knows almost nothing of being turned on, sex, flirting, and any of that good stuff. But he does show SOME interest…just not as much as he probably should. His mind is on playing.

W h a t ’ s W r o n g W i t h M e: Well the easiest problem to describe is that Taemin likes guys. A lot. Though he does like girls, he just doesn’t find them as attractive. However, he thinks this is completely natural, and thinks nothing of it since he’s more interested in adventures and playing games like House.
Taemin is also extremely emotionally unstable. One moment he could be giggling, flitting about happily, and the next, if someone were to say the wrong thing, he could be calling himself a failure, hating everyone, crying, become aggressive, and quite the opposite of who he usually is. He usually snaps out of it fast, but if it lasts longer than a few minutes, you know something is wrong. VERY wrong. It is easy to dominate him and whip him into submission while he is in this state, something that could easily be taken advantage of…
Along with that, Taemin has a tendency to express himself, alone, through self-mutilation. Whether he cuts, scratches, tears, bites, or harms himself in other ways, and depending on how deep he goes, is relevant to his feelings. He worships Johnny Depp and like him, says his body body "Is a journal in a way. It's like what sailors used to do, where every tattoo meant something, a specific time in your life when you make a mark on yourself, whether you do it yourself with a knife or with a professional tattoo artist”. The more scars he has, the happier he is, he says. Thus, he makes sure that every single cut he gets becomes a permanent addition to his body.
One of his less serious problems is his ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). One moment he could be having a serious discussion, the next, cheerfully yell out ‘SQUIRREL’ (should he see one) and wag his tail, then continue the conversation as if nothing had happened. This is also one of the reasons that he was kicked out of his old school, Due to the fact that schoolwork just does not hold his attention long at all. Neither does much of anything else, to be honest. The only things that hold his attention for longer than two seconds are his brother, Hyunjae, Cartoons, Playing, Food and Indiana Jones movies.
Although not really ‘problems’, Taemin has somniphobia, brontophobia, and claustrophobia. That is to say, Fear of sleeping, thunder and lightning, and confined spaces. His somniphobia is caused by his VERY frequent nightmares, which always seem to end in someone (or something) he loves dying despite his best efforts to save them. He knows at the beginning of the dream how it’s going to turn out since he pays attention to detail, but he is never able to wake up until the end. Thus, he chooses to not sleep for insanely long periods of time. The few times he does sleep are when he is sleeping in the same bed with someone he trusts or loves. His brontophobia is pretty easy to explain, the loud sound and flash of light scares him to death and is enough to send him scurrying under a table or a bed (whichever is closest) in tears. During storms, the best one can hope for from him is to be clung to and have a wet shirt. His claustrophobia isn’t as severe as it could be, but again it depends. If he’s stuck in an extremely small space with someone, say, Hyunjae or his brother, he won’t panic as much, and may simply shiver or sweat a little. If he is in the same space alone, he will have a panic attack.
