I love this damn dog. He blows my mind somedays, other days he humbles me utterly. I am a dog trainer and Wyatt....well he came to me a VERY leash reactive dog. He would lose him mind if he saw a dog on the horizon and wouldn't calm down for a long time after the dog was gone. He really taught me how to deal with this type of problem at its worst. Not only that but what it feel like to be an owner with a really aggressive looking dog at the end of the leash. It took me nearly a year, but now I use Wyatt to train other leash reactive dogs.
Wyatt is also unabashedly a very photogenic dog.

Your boy is gorgeous, and - yes. I have to say the saying is true. We don't always get the dog we want, we get the dog we need. <3 It's such a humbling experience to learn from a dog like that, I totally agree with you, and it sure makes us more understand everything around us a whole lot better.
Love, love, love his tag.
(Also the tags - haha "yes they come this color!" - I know, so many people say that about Cardigan Corgis too.)

People always call him a Aussie, but put him next to a Aussie and he is so different! Much finer boned and he runs circles around them. I have a friend with three aussies, he ran them so ragged they each snuck off to find places to sleep after a day of Wyatt at their house. He was still running like a goon.
My aussie boy Blue absolutely looses it when he sees another(usually hype enabled) dog.. Like in the too excited way. If the other dog doesnt care he'll chill out fairly quick and its over yay, but if the other dog is loosing its brains(happy or aggressive) he will too. Man it has been the most challenging thing ever. He SCREAMS(sounds like he is being beaten) for happiness and I have to be a meanie mom and remove him from a situation. Ive been accused of hitting my dog when I literally hadn't even touched him. He is so very very vocal about being dog happy. Thankfully he isnt nearly as bad anymore and I can get him to refocus on me. He has moments, but goodness me not as bad as before. Just smol whines. Anywho that was my story.
Also I had a childhood heeler named Wyatt and I named my heeler suit after him!
Beautiful Collie<3 Herding dogs are the best dogs I wouldnt trade mine for anything.

I would HIGHLY recommend looking int to BAT Training. This is pretty much what I do with clients and my own dog with on leash issues. Take a look into it- it is kinda of a lifestyle in that its is slow work but it does WORK and gives your dog lasting results. It is just slow and doesnt look dramatic on video lol, we call it 'Boring Training to be Boring'.
It is all about creating SPACE so your dog can relax about seeing a trigger, such as another dog.
