Gabe prefers to be nocturnal when he can get away with it (sunlight hurts his eyes and he burns easy, poor Scythedork). That being said, whenever he sleeps outside, he wakes up covered in some sort of ridiculous pile of fairies. Or sprites, or wisps, or whatever small, mostly-harmless magical critter is around. He's not quite sure why, although he doesn't mind too much.

Ripo thinks it's probably the same reason some small fish follow sharks around; they aren't worth the effort for the shark to eat them, and the shark is scary enough to keep other predators away. A reaper is easily the most threatening thing in the forest...
