Practically a poem, and about the subject that creates it. This explains as clearly as possible why your submissions are so engaging. You understand your craft, it's strengths and pitfalls. You know where the power lies and how to wield it. It does not surprise me that you know these rules, nor that you can express them so elegantly.

But I did take a deep, affected breath at seeing the blunt simplicity of rule 10. And briefly I wondered if we might be siblings, somehow separated at birth.

Very poetic and at the same time, very useful advice for the literary craft. Speaking from my own point if view, going through the writing process again after having not touched it in five years, this piece draws focus to the essential points of the craft and warns against the traps and pitfalls to be avoided. I hope up and coming writers in the future will find this piece both as moving and as helpful as I did.

speaking of which - the other morning I was making my lunch and I toss a grape to Cooper, my son's chihuahua mix and he catches it. I tossed one to Dexter, out rat terrier rescue and it bounced off his head. Then, Hanna, our Shelti mix (rescue) won't chase anything at all and hates all fruits and vegetables. I handed her a grape and she graciously took it and then went to the couch to guard it.
