(Actually, the first time I was exposed to that story was back in elementary school, via a stage production done by a theatre troupe that focused on minimalist productions in school gymnasiums. The butterfly was a person dressed in black dancing around with a tie-dyed cape fluttering behind him, for example. The show was somewhat trippy to a bunch of eight to ten year olds.)
