Although Raz is no adept by conventional means (his twisted, psychopathic mind prevents him from manipulating mana by will), his rare emotional outbursts still can affect his surroundings. If he gets outraged (which Rose manages to achieve quite frequently), for example, something around him may randomly explode. Or should he ever feel the butterflies inside (which I highly doubt), flowers may suddenly start blooming. Whatever happens, it is tied to Raz's emotion and happens randomly. So randomly in fact that he's not even avare that those occurings are connected to him in any form.
