Well if you enjoyed VIII you'll chances are enjoy V as well. There is allot of good stuff about it all around including the option to get married. It's story lines not bad ether, only REAL flaw is the same the FFIV has, there are allot of people that only join you for a short amount of time then leave, so you'll just have to get used to that.
Ahh, I was just using FFIV as an example of some team mates not sticking around for long. Though if you got the cash and time I still highly recommend DQV, it's a great game overall and you'll chances are enjoy every minute of it ( and chances are not even need much of a guide to get around and beat it as it's really good at giving info. :p ).
