Ever since she was a young girl, Nadia had wanted to defend those who couldn't defend themselves. It seemed that every day brought new stories of war, corruption, crime, and fear. She knew that although she may not be able to fix the world, she could still do her part in making it a better place. It wasn’t surprising when she began her training as a paladin. She took well to her lessons, and she was a true believer in the noble and just cause of the paladins. Although she was a strong fighter, she never forgot that she was fighting on behalf of the people, and working to defend rather than simply do harm. After defeating a dark sorcerer who had held an entire city hostage, she became a national hero.

However, as she rose to fame, she felt dismayed at the trivial nature of popularity. While she used to help people and make real change, now her days were filled with signing autographs and publicity events. Furthermore, as her rank and prestige increased, national politics got in the way of helping people. It was then she was approached by a former comrade, one she believed to have died years earlier. A new organization was being formed, one that would work internationally and in secret. Although they would not receive fame or fortune, they would prevent threats before they would have a chance to grow, defeating villains before they even came to light in the first place. Nadia accepted the offer, and began her new life of secret heroism.

- Fighting Style

Nadia is a mid-range melee fighter, using her halberd’s extra reach to keep her opponents from getting too close. She favors powerful, deliberate attacks, and she has a good enough stamina to outlast many opponents in an extended fight. Although her attacks can inflict significant damage, she has relatively weak speed, and a fast, skilled opponent can avoid her most damaging attacks.

Her double jump gives her the ability to fly, which passively consumes stamina because of the weight of her armor. She also takes higher damage when in the air. However, she can dive with her halberd, which does increased damage because of the extra force behind the blow.

As a paladin, Nadia combined her martial skill with a small amount of magic. Nadia mainly used light-based magic as a supplement to her fighting ability, using it to empower her weapon for devastating attacks. Nadia has now been trained in the use of shadow due to the secret nature of her work. Although she was initially reluctant to use what she saw as dark arts, she came to accept shadow as simply another tool she could use to do good. Her spells are mainly defensive, used to disappear into darkness when needed. However, extended use of shadow magic does have its toll on her body, and she takes damage from continued use of these spells.
