The Eth'rea Blades are a pair of swords that can connect together to form different types of weapons. They can change into a bow, which uses a chain to launch arrows from as well as a pulley system inside the sword to accentuate the launch. They can change into a double ended spear or staff, in this form, the blades can detach from the handles and the wielder can strike blows from farther away or attack multiple foes at once by a larger surface area. Then the wielder can detach the blades from their handles individually, while not in staff mode. This allows the wielder to use the blade as a sort of hook shot or grapple, to either reach high places, pull foes closer or attack from afar. These blades were crafted with mix of technology and magic. They do not need to consume magical energy to continue working. However, the material they were crafted from has a natural ability to harness the energy of negative force. To activate, the wielder must excrete a small amount of their own magical essence through their fingers and touch the blade itself, the material's reaction to the magic will produce the negative effect. Negative energy will change the color of the blade into the photo negative version of whatever color the blade is currently, the blade will also be surrounded by a dark aura. In negative form, the blades are able to negate most enemy attacks by guarding or blocking a strike, which will send the opponent flying off or being stunned for a moment. Negative form also utilizes gravity and slight teleportation. If the wielder is falling from a considerable height, they can use negative form to change the gravity around them to soften their fall. Negative form can also allow the wielder to teleport by wormhole, but only by a short distance
