Yes you found Meanbeard's one weakness and that is his love of hugging. He don't get to do it much being a Minotaur and everyone how big bad monsters they are. And being to large and coming at you to give you a greeting hug looks more like an attack to most. So he loves it when he can find someone to hug and hug some more. Hehehee...he will let you guys go as soon as he gets hungry or you guys point out you are hungry and he will let you both go.
