I keep getting caught up in the incidental details. They're handled with such care in setting the mood of the scene. That grey cutout box on the table, for example! Jeeze, that's a beautiful touch.

I actually ended up adding things like that just because after I went to detail the book cover, I realized I was zoomed in REAAAL far and REALLY overworked it compared to all the clean, modernist decor lol. It still looked nice though and felt appropriately arcane, so I kept it and added in a few more detailed objects for textural balance c:

You've achieved a level of technical skill that lets you gun straight to the storytelling. Man, are you doing that, and in spades.

I like the peaceful ambiance here and the pastel colors a lot!
