The exposed fang and the long, ribbed ears help the brain to think that he's looking at a bat. But the muzzle length still seems a bit short. Cause seriously, I first thought it was a rabbit and a lizard of some kind before I read the description.

Ooooh, a bat! I see it now. Yeah, the ear shape there makes a huge difference. Hehe, he's still got a cute butt. ;) Looking good.

One thing I might change on it though, to make it look a little more "batlike", is maybe shorten the nose a bit, and have a little bit of a tip at the end of the chin, possibly smaller eyes. Most bats tend to have rather small eyes for their head size. (I love bats, they're so cute, I'm trying to convince kittinz to let me have one as a pet.) ;)

Improvements on the shark are very nice.
I like what you did with the bat's ears and tail, but the wings are just too Sonic the Hedgehog for my personal taste.
However, I'd say "mission accomplished", because it is now much more obvious what the species are.

Looks quite good to me, and as a few people stated, maybe a couple of things can be done to the bat, like maybe round the nose a little, but apart from that, looks spot in ^.=.^
