Interesting how the different artists bring out different aspects to them, depending on their artistic strengths. Some bring out the more reptilian side, others vaguely horse like, or bovine... and others the demonic side. This one has distinct boar overtones as well which I thought was kinda cool.

I was trying to get that demonic/alien/gargoyle type look. I guess the shading made the nose a bit flat looking. Will make sure to that spine chilling features effects on the next pic..

Oh that it does, Mr. DBull! Those eyes are really rather chilling, like holes staring straight into you from the stygian depths... I really like this because you're one of the few artists who has really concentrated on the little details in really developing their faces to look unique, rather than just a converted Minotaur or dragon.

Everyone picks out something different from a picture... and I just got a hint of boar from this one - and that's more than cool with me, since the tusks are somewhat modeled on those of wild porcines when I was coming up with a mental image of them.

Hmm, might wait until I'm back in NZ and settled down again before I look at anything like this. Would probably want to collaborate with a good artist in order to come up with designs that people liked first though

Funny the different things that different artists bring out when they draw a character you're familiar with. Not just with the Vanguard, but I've seen it with other people when they commission different artists for the same character as well.

Mr. DBull brings out the demonic looking side, and that's cool by me because at the end of the day, they're supposed to be freaky lookin' aliens
