Pardon the frass! I was cleaning out the roach tank and these guys were at the bottom after I took out the egg flats. (there's way more than these in the tank |D I just chose this particular group to pester) I think the variation in colour is fascinating. In particular the light (perhaps somewhat recently shed) adult male in the bottom left photo. And then the most definitely recently shed white nymph in the photo on the right. XD But then I also found something really bizarre in the tank and I have NO CLUE what the hell it is. Looks like some sort of pupa. :/
The culling will start to take place now, especially since my adult male to female ratio is like 5:1. Time for the dragons to feast! >:D However I felt bad for the gimpy male in the bottom middle so he gets to live a while longer. X3;;

Aww jeez, that above comment was just rude. You gave fair warning!
Well, I think they're awesome. They're really cool critters. Too bad they depend on us for food and shelter, otherwise, we might get along better. :P
What if the roach was man's best friend instead of the dog? :O

There's one in every bunch. XD
Have you seen that CSI episode with the designer roaches? XD The idea of bugs on tiny leashes cracks me up liek woah. I feel bad for them though, they look like somebody took a cheap cell phone "bling" kit to them. X3

I have the same problem, bugs are fine unless they're sneaking up on me. >_> Last night I was minding my own business when a dime-sized black spider appeared, and just as quickly disappeared before I could catch it. I still feel itchy. Especially knowing it's still here somewhere, waiting... @__@
I had that same problem with this brown/red millipede I found on my arm. Red and itchy skin. Unfortunately, flicked it off me instead of catching it and throwing it in a jar. Less then a minute after, I was like "Ugh, can't believe I did that, I'll never find that bugger in the carpet!"
We also have these weird looking crawly maggots around that are pretty cool. They play dead a lot.
