Many people have met Randall Blackwell over the years, though few of them describe their experiences with him the same way. The strange raccoon comes and goes as he pleases, leaving magic and mischief in his wake. Though he's trapped in the form of an animal by a seemingly unbreakable curse, Randall has relearned his magic over the years. Simple spells allow him to speak and regain some humanlike flexibility in his thumbs. And when you get right down to it, isn't that all that you really need to work as a mage? Though he's still not much bigger than a normal raccoon, standing at just over 2' 6,"Randall has learned to use his cursed form to his own advantage. He often associates himself with lesser mages, posing as their animal familiar in exchange for food, treats and supplies. He's quite skilled with transformation spells and beguiling enchantments, so a careful companion could stand to learn a great many things before Randall disappears into the night once again. But those who pursue him or try to take advantage are more likely to to experience his powerful transformation spells as a personal demonstration!
Randall travels light, keeping most of what he has in his small shoulderbag. Most of these are components for more difficult spells, along with some strange potions, oils and powders. His distinctive green cloak is designed to protect him from anti-magic, since a carefully aimed spell could strip away his enchantments, leaving him chittering and hissing as he dashes for cover. The raven's quill is a gift from an old friend of his, a peculiar bird who often claims to hate mammals but clearly has a soft spot for them. And the walking stick? Well, why don't you try walking long distances on two legs!

My greatest focus is in transformation spells, both because it was my first focus and because I've had to use them a lot to take human form, or to try to find a way to break the curse that left me as a raccoon. My secondary focuses are on illusions and mental enchantments, with a handful of other useful spells for hiding, sending messages, or summoning objects. As for weaknesses, pretty much any spell designed for combat, or to harm someone. Turning someone into a squirrel doesn't count as harming them, does it?
I see, I presume that this have something to do with your current form.
Let’s return to brewing then, I presume that thanks’ to your raccoon senses its easier for you to find specific herb’s that you’re looking for.
However how do you handle the brewing process? Judging by your small stature (no offense <:3 )and traveling life style. You probably don’t carry an laboratory with you. Does that mean that your alchemical skills are handicapped without decent alchemical equipment?

Smell is just as important as touch for raccoons, and both help a lot with alchemy based magic! You're right that it's a handicap, which is why it helps to work with other people and their laboratories if they're available.
Part of the use for potions is that since it takes a lot of concentration on spells to maintain human form, potions let me use magic effects at the same time, otherwise it's hard to use any magic as a human without immediately turning back into a raccoon.

Somewhat, but that's more because of being a raccoon for so long, it alters your priorities and the ways that you see the world. There are good days and bad days and sometimes being human just feels like a chore :)
Thanks for all the interest you've shown, it's been fun answering your questions :)
