This is a 50$ Commission for 
MichaelGrey about how Steven Universe decides to take a video camera, and record a full day in Beach City.
(2 whole weeks since I last posted something?! Damn you Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild!!! XD)
Steven Universe belongs to Rebecca Sugar.
Steven still couldn't fully believe what he had been watching.
On that old VHS cassette tape that he found inside Lion's mane had been an old film of his dad Greg, and on his mother Rose! For the first time ever he had actually been able to both see and hear his own mom!
It all felt like such a life changing moment for him. From having only heard stories about what a great gem she was and having just a big painting on the wall at home as his only source of visual identity, to now having living images with sound was a really big leap!
Despite it being such a small clip it still gave him so much more knowledge about his mom then he could have ever dreamed of, and it made him realise something.
Maybe he too should have something similar made for his own offspring's? Something that could serve as a great memory of who he used to be as a young kid.
But he didn't want to just record himself, watching the tape got him very curious on how his Dad and Mom had done it.
"How could they do that in a world without any mobiles, smart pads, or even an internet?" Steven wondered as he knew just the one person that could help him get what he wanted.
"Hey dad!" Steven asked as he rushed over to his father's carwash.
"Oh Steven! How's it going little guy?" His father Greg asked as he quit hosing a car with water to talk to his son.
"It's going great!" Steven answered and then asked, "Say dad, could you maybe tell me how you did to make THIS?" before showing the VHS tape.
Upon seeing it Greg dropped the hose in shock and got down on his knees to look a lot closer to what his son was holding.
"Just where in the universe did you find that?!" Greg asked as Steven let him hold the cassette tape for a few moments.
"I remember when Rose and I made this for you. We made it since Rose told me that once you got born she would..." Greg said before feeling a lonely tear coming down his eye. "When she got to know that you could record stuff on cameras she wanted so badly to make one so that you could watch it later...but once finished she never told me where she hide the tape itself."
"It was very well hidden indeed." Steven agreed on before asking if his dad knew where the camera used to record it on was laying.
"Could be laying inside my storage unit. I know all my other stuff is crammed inside there." Greg said as he took Steven with him to unlock it.
The unit was very well-known to be all packed up and hard to find stuff in, but if Steven could manage to find a Laser Light Cannon in the past, then he shouldn't have any problems finding a simple camera. (And just like when finding the cannon Steven had to crawl alone into the small jungle of junk, since he was small enough to get through it all.)
"How big can it be even? Bet it's not larger then a TV-Remote or something..." Steven said to himself before stumbling over what he first thought was a big shoebox.
But upon looking closer he saw on the label that it was in fact just the thing he had been looking for!
"Wow! I didn't not expect it to be so big." Steven said as he needed both arms to be able to carry the big box out with him.
While knowing that Steven would be able to find it he was still a bit surprised to see that the old camera actually existed.
"Ah, this brings back memories." Greg said as he unpacked it and held up the old handheld recorder. "Used to make many concert films with this one."
"So...is it possible for me to use it to record some?" Steven asked, and after Greg picked up and inserted a blank VHS cassette into the thing he handed it over to his son and said, "Hope you get to record a lot of things now."
"Oh believe me dad. I will!" Steven said as he pressed the REC button, and started his day of filming!
ZAP!!!
"Hello everyone, and me! This is Steven during then time when I was just 13 years old, and I hope this will be a great reminded to...me, I guess, on just how living in Beach City used to be like, and just what kind of people that used to be living there."
"Let's just see, what to start showing first?...I know!"
ZAP!!!
"Here we are now at Beach Citywalk Fries! This is the place I always go to in order to get my special snack from the young guy at the desk." Steven was saying into the camera as the Fry place was being seen in the background, before he started to move up towards the counter.
As the camera gets closer to the Fry shop Peedee can be seen looking bored at the counter, but upon seeing the camera filming him he jumps up a little bit.
"Steven? Why are you filming me?" Peedee asks before Steven cut him of by whispering (But still able to be picked up by the camera), "Just act natural Peedee. I want to let the people of the future see just how ordering fries looks like in the past."
"Okay...then." Peedee said awkwardly before saying the standard phrase of "Welcome to the Beach Citywalk Fries, how can I take your order?" to Steven.
"You know what I want buddy..." Steven said before switching to hold his camera up with one hand, as he started to hit the counted hard with his other arm shouting "The Bits! The Bits!"
"Please Steven..."
"The Bits!"
"That is not a part of our menu, and you know it!"
"The Bits!"
"You will ruin the counter if you keep doing this!"
"The! Bits!"
"FINE!" Peedee shouted as he walked back to the deep fryer, fished up some small fry bits, and put them in a small paper bag before handing it over to Steven.
"Thanks! How much do I own you?" Steven asks as he grabbed the bag, and Peedee in return just frowned and said, "It's free! Just please leave."
"Thanks again!" Steven said as he started to walk away when he suddenly got his camera taken from him!
ZAP!!!
The watcher could then see the back of Steven as he said loudly "What the...?", before turning around and shout "Ronaldo!" when seeing who it was that had snagged the camera.
The camera is then turned around to reveal Ronaldo's face (The big brother to Peedee) as he asks Steven, "What is this? Are you making some kind of documentary?" before then continuing on saying "Sweet! Then I got something really important that needs to be shared!" as he doesn't even care to wait for an answer from Steven.
"Greeting everyone! My name is Ronaldo Fryman (Real last name by the way, runs in the family), and I must tell you all that I have predicted that the Diamond People will come to Earth and enslave as all, as they are going to harvest our planet out of minerals and then put us all into some weird human zoo prison!" Ronaldo was saying in a very paranoid and panic filled manner, as Steven's voice can be heard off screen asking concerned, "Uh, Ronaldo? Can I have my camera back please?"
"But unlike everyone else I knew the truth was coming, and that's why I will be the only one well hidden from their terror, until they have all leaved our planet!" Ronaldo said as it looked like he was about to take and show the camera something when his motion suddenly stopped, and he tossed a very suspicious look into the camera.
"...Unless the ones watching this later is no longer the human race but instead the underground Snake People!!!" He said in shock before in the very next second letting out a big laughter in triumph. "Which I planned for of course! As the whereabouts of my secret hiding place is mentioned in what I said before, but it is in a secret code that only true humans can solve!"
Ronaldo then suddenly tosses the camera back to Steven (Who just barley gets it, preventing it from hitting the ground!) and shouts into it, "When the world meets it's doom then don't forget that Ronaldo predicted it!" before running away.
"Okay...That was Ronaldo everyone." Steven says into the camera.
"He has his own blog called "Keep Beach City Weird!", and I guess that is what he hopes this city will remain..." Steven was saying as he felt how something was pulling at his leg, and as he looked down with the camera he could see a very small child starring back at him.
"Oh hey Onion. How's it going?..." Steven asked when suddenly the little toddler took and grabbed the camera and started to run off!
Through a very shaky cam moment a very upset Steven could be seen running after the little child and shouting, "Onion! Come back! Why is everyone trying to steal my camera?!" before the scene just stops.
ZAP!!!
Once the camera was back at running again it was showing Onion now being out in the middle of the forest, as he was setting up the camera before running out into some kind of starting position.
ZAP!!!
The camera then cuts to Onion stacking up a small tower of rocks, stares at it for a bit, and then knocks it over with a stick.
ZAP!!!
Onion then lays out some nuts near the camera and hides behind a tree, as a Squirrel comes down to eat some of them. Onion tries to sneak up and grab the little rodent, but the squirrel manages to escape just before the child could get a grip.
ZAP!!!
In the next image Onion is seen starring up into the trees, as a small leaf comes falling down and the little toddler captures it perfectly as it ends up landing in his open hand.
ZAP!!!
In the next scene Onion is really up close to the camera, and lays a big worm right at the far right corner of the lens. He then back off out of frame as the little fuzzy creature starts to crawl slowly pass the screen, until it finally also leaves the frame once out of the far left corner.
ZAP!!!
In the next shoot Onion is just standing with his back turned, before he makes what look like a dramatic turn to face the viewers.
He then coughs slightly and looks like he is ready to say something, when suddenly he gets startled by the sound of snapping branches!
Scared by it Onion runs of as the tired panting of Steven can be heard, as the half gem enters the scene and yells after Onion once again before seeing the camera standing there.
"Just what did that little child film before I came here?" Steven asked himself before having memories of some previous "Home Videos" that Onion had shown him before.
"Don't know if I dare reverse to look it up." Steven then says as he decides instead to just pick up the camera and stops the recording.
ZAP!!!
Once the camera is back at recording Steven is seen back at Beach City once more.
"Okay. After a few problems with keeping this thing from others I am now ready to show you one of my all time favourite places at the whole town!" Steven said as he was turning the camera around to show his face as he said, "Big Donut!" while showing said big donut that was used to market the store in question.
"Let's go inside!" Steven said before push open the door, and taking his filming inside the small store where two teenagers was seen working.
"Oh, hey Steven!" The girl at the counter said as Steven explained to the viewers that "This wonderful lady at the desk is Sadie" (Which he got a small "Thanks" in return from her for the compliment), before turning the camera over and saying "And the guy that is right now trying to pick his nose without anyone seeing it is Lars." as Lars was indeed having one of his fingers way up his nose trying to get rid of one annoying booger when he saw the big camera filming him.
"STEVEN! Get that thing away from me!" Lars said as he turned around and quickly got his finger out, to which Sadie couldn't help but laugh a little bit over Lars not seeing Steven being there until now.
"Oh come on Lars! You have to admit it was pretty funny how you didn't even notice Steven until now." Sadie said as Steven was trying to get his camera closer to film Lars's face.
"Get that thing away from me!" Lars shouted as he almost smacked the camera out of Steven's hands when the gem boy was getting a bit to close. "What is even the point of you making this? Would there ever be something worth to record around here?"
Not liking the very overly aggressive way Lars was acting right now Sadie came up with a perfect way to put him in his place as she pulled out her cell phone and said, "I would believe that there is something Steven would like to record seeing here..." before starting a recorded film from it.
"I've got a pair of eyes that they're getting lost in,
They're hypnotized by the way I'm walking,
I've got them dazzled like a stage magician,
When I point, they look, and when I talk, they listen, well,"
(It was a video of Lars in the storage room singing and dancing to the song "Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star)", and unlike Sadie he wasn't very good at performing.)
"WHAT?! When did you film that?!" Lars asked in a state of panic now.
"I just heard one day how you where going on, and when seeing you I just knew I had to remember this somehow." Sadie said as she looked very pleased with how embarrassed Lars was getting over this.
"Steven! Stop recording this, now!" Lars said as he tried to toss himself over the counted to grab Steven's camera, but he only got halfway there before the rest of his body got stopped by it, and instead he ended up landing his head and arms into the floor!
"I think I better leave now. I've got a lot more interesting stuff to film." Steven said as he made a quick exit from the shop, and turned the thing off so that he would be able to focus on running away much more quicker!
ZAP!!!
When the camera was back into recording Steven was now sitting at a park bench, and catching his breath from outrunning Lars.
"Sorry for that sudden cut, but I needed to be sure that Lars wasn't after me any longer." Steven said as he looked around at his current surroundings.
"I'm not really sure what to talk about right now since my planned journey for the day has been all kinds of tossed around, but maybe we could...?" Steven was saying into the camera when a very familiar tune was starting to be heard.
"♫Ma-yor-De-wey! ♫"
"♫May-or-De-wey! ♫"
"♫May-or-De-wey! ♫"
Looking over his shoulder (And with the camera still held in a position to capture what Steven was looking at) Steven saw how a big van with a giant fake head on top of it came driving by, and it could be seen that behind the wheels was none other then the city's mayor driving it.
"That's Bill Dewey driving by. He is Beach City's mayor, and basically has the job of making sure everyone else in the town is being happy to live here." Steven said as the wan was just about to drove pass where Steven was sitting.
Mayor Bill Dewey could be seen noticing the large camera that Steven was holding, and getting all excited he made sure to quickly find close place to park his wan before rushing over to look closer at it.
"I have to say I am pretty impressed with how much of a big and important job Mayor Dewey has. He has to try and keep order for a whole city, when I barley can even keep my own cloth drawers in check!" Steven said into his recordings before noticing said mayor now standing next to him and looking down.
"Oh, hey Mayor Dewey! How's it going?" Steven asked as the Mayor looked at the camera and said, "I recognize that type of camera anywhere!"
"You do?" Steven asked confused as the Mayor explained that this was the same type of camera all real news reporters where using when interviewing for TV.
"And that must mean that you are now planning to make a very important scoop about how well I am doing my job?" Mayor Dewey asked as Steven tried to explain it all, but Bill just schussed Steven as he explained that, "Luckily I always am prepared for this sort of situations!" before suddenly pulling out from his pants pocket a folded up paper mass, that once folded out revealed it to be an almost 10 feet long stack of constant paper!
"What is that?!" Steven asked out in confusion as the Mayor told him that it was his "Small Speech for sudden interviews", before starting to read it from the top into the camera.
"As the great Mayor of Beach City I am always ready for the most unpredictable of challenges to battle! No matter if it is bad weather, low tourism, or those nasty little pieces of crumbled up paper that is always found littering around, I will always be ready to fight for turning it all around in my town! A vote for Bill Dewey is a vote for a better Beach City! And I'm also..." The Mayor was saying before suddenly the image started to go away...
ZAP!!!
...and instead we where shown seeing Steven looking into the camera again. (And that the sun in the background had been lowering a good bit compared to the previous clip.)
"Sorry for doing that, but he ended up talking so much that the camera ran out of space. So I had to start record the rest of the footage over a big portion of his speech." Steven explained as he started to think what more he could have time to film before this day would be over soon.
"Give how little time is left I guess the best thing to do is to go back to the Beach House, and letting you all meet the gems."
ZAP!!!
Next time the camera starts recording it shows once again Steven holding it in front of him, with the home of him and gems in the background.
"This is where the gems decided to settle down when they wanted to stay on Earth, and they build this giant statue to live in." Steven said as he lifted the camera up to get all of the massive monument, before reminding himself to also lower it a bit again to add in, "And later when I also became a part of the team we built that beach house in front of it, so that I would also have somewhere to live."
"Let's take a look inside now." Steven then said before cutting the image again...
ZAP!!!
...and this time now being inside the door of the beach house.
"Here we finally are now. This is my home and let me show you around a bit." Steven said as he started taking the camera around the big open room to show all the places.
"Here is the kitchen where I do all my cooking and food, up here is where my bed is laying along with my video game consoles, and oh..." Steven said as he got a bit lost for words at first before saying, "...and that is the portrait of my mother, which is the only real visual way of knowing how she looked like...until I saw that tape." at which point Steven once again got a bit silent, as he was just starring down and almost looking like he was about to fall a tear.
"Hey Steven, what's ya doin?" A voice could suddenly be heard, and as Steven turned the camera around the viewers could see that it was the purple gem Amethyst that had now showed up to make Steven company.
"Oh, hey Amethyst!" Steven said as he got down to join her before explaining his whole recording thing.
"So what now? Do you want me to do something crazy and trendy to this thing?" Amethyst asked, and before Steven could even say "actually no, it's..." she had already dashed off into the kitchen to grab some stuff.
"YO!" Amethyst shouted out to Steven (Making him turn to have the camera face the kitchen counter) as Amethyst was seen now wearing a back turned cap and some shades and saying, "You all out three say that there is nothing more challenging then "The Cinnamon Challenge", right? Just having to swallow a small spoonful of the stuff."
"Well not me!" Amethyst shouted as she tossed up a big sack onto the counter. "Let's see what all your reactions will be once I have been swallowing this whole load!"
And just like she said Amethyst then lifted the whole thing above her head, before she open up her mouth widely and had it all pouring out!
Amethyst was known for having a pretty big appetite, but she might have overdone a bit how she open up the sack as the flow of cinnamon was so huge that it ended up falling all over and around her!
Soon the purple gem ended up completely covered in the light brown powder, had her cap and shades knocked of her head from the shower rush, and a good portion of both the counter and the floor was now pretty messy as a result of it!
Being now in an almost completely different colour then her usual self Amethyst just casually wiped some of the powder off her gem stone before looking into the camera, holding up a finger as a "wait for it" signal, and then letting out a big "BURP!!!" that made her let out a bit of the large portion of pure cinnamon powder that was now stored inside her gut.
"Bet that if you can." Was her final message to all the "followers" that would later be watching this, before picking up her shades and putting them back on, and then just leaving the place like a boss.
While being fairly impressed with Amethyst great feat, Steven was not feeling very pleased with the mess she had left behind. (Or that he might end up getting the blame for it.)
"I...think I will also leave this place for now. Maybe check what Pearl is doing instead?" Steven could be heard saying as he went to the teleportation platform to beam himself to her.
"Not sure if the camera can handle a teleportation, so I think I better keep it bubbled until I'm there." Steven said as he prepared a small pink bubble for the camera, before turning the thing off.
ZAP!!!
Once starting up again Steven seemed to be hiding and was whispering, "I have just found Pearl, and you will love to see this." into the camera before lifting it above his hiding place.
What the viewer could witness was how both Pearl and Connie (Steven's best human friend) was in the middle of doing sword fighting against what was looking like two holographic clones of Pearl. (And it seemed to be going really well for the two of them.)
"Ever since first time Earth got invaded by other gems from the home world Connie has wished to be of more help to the team, so Pearl has been teaching her a lot about how to fight in combats." Steven whispered as he peeked over to witness some of the great moves and techniques that Connie had been mastering.
Thinking that they had everything under control Steven came out from his hiding place and shouted "Hey Pearl & Connie! Look what I got!", and from the camera's perspective one could see how the two fighting females got first surprised and then terrified as Pearl shouted back, "Steven no! Back off!"
"Why's that?" Steven asked before suddenly the two clones of Pearl teleported away from ones they where fighting, and instead remerged close to Steven (Plus with a third clone), and saying in unity "A new challenger has approached! Prepare for battle!" as they all pulled their own swords!
"Uh-oh!" Steven said scarily as the three Pearl clones was about to attack him, when suddenly the original Pearl came charging in and slicing one of the three holograms to pieces!
"Back off Steven!" Pearl shouted out as Steven didn't hesitate to hide behind his hiding spot once again, as Pearl didn't hold back as she made sure to put an end to the other two fighting holograms!
Lifting up his camera carefully again Steven got to witness how the otherwise gentle and elegant of the gems now was acting like a ruthless assassin, as she stabbed, sliced, and cut the remaining holograms into barley recognizable pieces!
Once the fighting was all done did Steven dare to come up, and he apologized for walking into the middle of their training like that.
"I understand that you didn't mean to cause any troubles, but I would kindly wish for you now to leave this place now, as I can't not stand for putting your life at risk." Pearl explained.
"Maybe there is someone else that you can film for a while?" Connie asked, to which Steven thought for a second before saying, "Oh yeah! Garnet! Thanks Connie." as he went back to the portal.
"Guess I just got Garnet left to meet before I call this a day." Steven said before preparing to bubble his camera again.
ZAP!!!
"Okay. Finding Garnet was a lot harder then I thought, but I finally did it!" Steven said as he was filming said gem walking towards him inside of some corridor.
"Where are you heading Garnet?..." Steven was asking as Garnet on the way passing him simply placed her hand over the lens and said, "No comments." before walking off. (Combined with the shades she always was wearing almost made her appearance feel like that of a celebrity avoiding a paparazzi.)
"Hey! Wait!" Steven shouted as he tried to follow her, but as soon as she entered into the special Temple Gate it got locked behind her.
"Darn it!" Steven said to himself before getting an idea.
"But I think I know where she is heading, and if that's so then I know a second way to get there!" Steven said into the camera before turning it off.
ZAP!!!
When the camera was back on it was showing Steven as he was climbing down what looked like a big pole inside some kind of other dimension.
"I'm taking this ride down cause I think Garnet is heading towards the "Bubble Room", and I think we might be able to film when she does something really cool!" Steven said before reaching a landing point, and going to hide again as Garnet enters.
This time Steven notices how she is carrying a small gemstone that she then puts into a bubble, before trying to levitate it into putting it in it's place.
"So cool." Steven accidentally said loud enough so that Garnet's concentration got broken, and she ended up making the protective bubble pop!
With nothing to keep the gemstone under control it suddenly started to lead out a massive glow, before turning into a spider looking creature!
Starting to crawl all over the walls Garnet was barley able to aim her punches against it, as the monster was getting it's eyes set onto Steven's camera!
"Steven! Look out!" Garnet shouted as the Spider came jumping towards the small boy, before suddenly one of Garnet's huge power fists came in and punched the thing right into the nearest wall!
Steven took the chance to take cover right at the moment when also Pearl and Amethyst came running into the room.
"We heard that there was something happening down here...OH DEAR ROSE!" Pearl said in shock as soon as she saw just what Garnet was trying to keep busy, and it didn't take long for the two other gems to join in!
Holding up his camera again Steven got a pretty good view from a safe distance of seeing all three gems using their different strengths to take on their common foe.
Garnet kept on using her enlarged rock hard fists to deliver countless punches onto the spider's thick body, as Pearl was defending herself by reflecting her sword against it's claws and fangs, and Amethyst used her trusty whip to grab onto one of it's many legs and pull it hard to make it tip over.
The spider was a really though being to defeat, but finally it let out a final screech before getting poofed off into a small gemstone yet again.
Placing it into it's little bubble protection once again Garnet could this time then put the monster at it's personal little space and leave it there.
"How could that monster manage to break free from the bubble?" Pearl asked confused as Garnet just simply replied "Guess just once.", before pointing over to where Steven was hiding.
As Steven noticed that all the gems was looking pretty displeased with his behaviour he placed the camera to the side (While having it still recording), as he walked up to them.
"I'm so sorry for having caused you all this trouble. I just thought it would be fun to have little recordings of you all. Something that maybe later could be used to help remembering the times that we had spending together. Cause sometimes...sometimes you never know when those times will end." Steven said as he started to get a bit teared up over being so honest with his actions, and it was very clear that also the Crystal Gems was sharing his deep feelings.
"We where a bit upset at the time over your sudden filming of us, but it is fully understandable why you waned to do that." Pearl said as she comforted the young boy with a hug.
"If it makes you feel better we can always shoot a scene with us all together." Garnet suggested, which made Steven start smiling again as he said that, "I might have an idea."
ZAP!!!
With the camera back up running again it was now showing all four members of the Crystal Gems sitting together back in Steven's room, as Steven himself was having his guitar strapped on.
"All set and ready!" Pearl said as she went back to sit with the rest of the group.
"Great! And before I start I just want to let you all know that I will always make sure to have you be a part of my memories. No matter what happens to this film in this future." Steven said before taking the first notes.
What followed then was the four of them singing together their own little theme song about who they are, and how they will always be ready to save the day.
It was a very fitting way to close down this home movie experience as many years later it would be watched again by Steven. (As now being an adult like his dad.)
Seeing all those memories from his childhood once more was really something to lay a timeless smile upon the fully grown up Steven's face, as once it was over he had a good chuckle over what he had seen before saying that it was surely, "Some real good times."

"I remember when Rose and I made this for you. We made it since Rose told me that once you got born she would..." Greg said before feeling a lonely tear coming down his eye. "When she got to know that you could record stuff on cameras she wanted so badly to make one so that you could watch it later...but once finished she never told me where she hide the tape itself."
"It was very well hidden indeed." Steven agreed on before asking if his dad knew where the camera used to record it on was laying.
"Could be laying inside my storage unit. I know all my other stuff is crammed inside there." Greg said as he took Steven with him to unlock it.
The unit was very well-known to be all packed up and hard to find stuff in, but if Steven could manage to find a Laser Light Cannon in the past, then he shouldn't have any problems finding a simple camera. (And just like when finding the cannon Steven had to crawl alone into the small jungle of junk, since he was small enough to get through it all.)
"How big can it be even? Bet it's not larger then a TV-Remote or something..." Steven said to himself before stumbling over what he first thought was a big shoebox.
But upon looking closer he saw on the label that it was in fact just the thing he had been looking for!
"Wow! I didn't not expect it to be so big." Steven said as he needed both arms to be able to carry the big box out with him.
While knowing that Steven would be able to find it he was still a bit surprised to see that the old camera actually existed.
"Ah, this brings back memories." Greg said as he unpacked it and held up the old handheld recorder. "Used to make many concert films with this one."
"So...is it possible for me to use it to record some?" Steven asked, and after Greg picked up and inserted a blank VHS cassette into the thing he handed it over to his son and said, "Hope you get to record a lot of things now."
"Oh believe me dad. I will!" Steven said as he pressed the REC button, and started his day of filming!
ZAP!!!
"Hello everyone, and me! This is Steven during then time when I was just 13 years old, and I hope this will be a great reminded to...me, I guess, on just how living in Beach City used to be like, and just what kind of people that used to be living there."
"Let's just see, what to start showing first?...I know!"
ZAP!!!
"Here we are now at Beach Citywalk Fries! This is the place I always go to in order to get my special snack from the young guy at the desk." Steven was saying into the camera as the Fry place was being seen in the background, before he started to move up towards the counter.
As the camera gets closer to the Fry shop Peedee can be seen looking bored at the counter, but upon seeing the camera filming him he jumps up a little bit.
"Steven? Why are you filming me?" Peedee asks before Steven cut him of by whispering (But still able to be picked up by the camera), "Just act natural Peedee. I want to let the people of the future see just how ordering fries looks like in the past."
"Okay...then." Peedee said awkwardly before saying the standard phrase of "Welcome to the Beach Citywalk Fries, how can I take your order?" to Steven.
"You know what I want buddy..." Steven said before switching to hold his camera up with one hand, as he started to hit the counted hard with his other arm shouting "The Bits! The Bits!"
"Please Steven..."
"The Bits!"
"That is not a part of our menu, and you know it!"
"The Bits!"
"You will ruin the counter if you keep doing this!"
"The! Bits!"
"FINE!" Peedee shouted as he walked back to the deep fryer, fished up some small fry bits, and put them in a small paper bag before handing it over to Steven.
"Thanks! How much do I own you?" Steven asks as he grabbed the bag, and Peedee in return just frowned and said, "It's free! Just please leave."
"Thanks again!" Steven said as he started to walk away when he suddenly got his camera taken from him!
ZAP!!!
The watcher could then see the back of Steven as he said loudly "What the...?", before turning around and shout "Ronaldo!" when seeing who it was that had snagged the camera.
The camera is then turned around to reveal Ronaldo's face (The big brother to Peedee) as he asks Steven, "What is this? Are you making some kind of documentary?" before then continuing on saying "Sweet! Then I got something really important that needs to be shared!" as he doesn't even care to wait for an answer from Steven.
"Greeting everyone! My name is Ronaldo Fryman (Real last name by the way, runs in the family), and I must tell you all that I have predicted that the Diamond People will come to Earth and enslave as all, as they are going to harvest our planet out of minerals and then put us all into some weird human zoo prison!" Ronaldo was saying in a very paranoid and panic filled manner, as Steven's voice can be heard off screen asking concerned, "Uh, Ronaldo? Can I have my camera back please?"
"But unlike everyone else I knew the truth was coming, and that's why I will be the only one well hidden from their terror, until they have all leaved our planet!" Ronaldo said as it looked like he was about to take and show the camera something when his motion suddenly stopped, and he tossed a very suspicious look into the camera.
"...Unless the ones watching this later is no longer the human race but instead the underground Snake People!!!" He said in shock before in the very next second letting out a big laughter in triumph. "Which I planned for of course! As the whereabouts of my secret hiding place is mentioned in what I said before, but it is in a secret code that only true humans can solve!"
Ronaldo then suddenly tosses the camera back to Steven (Who just barley gets it, preventing it from hitting the ground!) and shouts into it, "When the world meets it's doom then don't forget that Ronaldo predicted it!" before running away.
"Okay...That was Ronaldo everyone." Steven says into the camera.
"He has his own blog called "Keep Beach City Weird!", and I guess that is what he hopes this city will remain..." Steven was saying as he felt how something was pulling at his leg, and as he looked down with the camera he could see a very small child starring back at him.
"Oh hey Onion. How's it going?..." Steven asked when suddenly the little toddler took and grabbed the camera and started to run off!
Through a very shaky cam moment a very upset Steven could be seen running after the little child and shouting, "Onion! Come back! Why is everyone trying to steal my camera?!" before the scene just stops.
ZAP!!!
Once the camera was back at running again it was showing Onion now being out in the middle of the forest, as he was setting up the camera before running out into some kind of starting position.
ZAP!!!
The camera then cuts to Onion stacking up a small tower of rocks, stares at it for a bit, and then knocks it over with a stick.
ZAP!!!
Onion then lays out some nuts near the camera and hides behind a tree, as a Squirrel comes down to eat some of them. Onion tries to sneak up and grab the little rodent, but the squirrel manages to escape just before the child could get a grip.
ZAP!!!
In the next image Onion is seen starring up into the trees, as a small leaf comes falling down and the little toddler captures it perfectly as it ends up landing in his open hand.

In the next scene Onion is really up close to the camera, and lays a big worm right at the far right corner of the lens. He then back off out of frame as the little fuzzy creature starts to crawl slowly pass the screen, until it finally also leaves the frame once out of the far left corner.
ZAP!!!
In the next shoot Onion is just standing with his back turned, before he makes what look like a dramatic turn to face the viewers.
He then coughs slightly and looks like he is ready to say something, when suddenly he gets startled by the sound of snapping branches!
Scared by it Onion runs of as the tired panting of Steven can be heard, as the half gem enters the scene and yells after Onion once again before seeing the camera standing there.
"Just what did that little child film before I came here?" Steven asked himself before having memories of some previous "Home Videos" that Onion had shown him before.
"Don't know if I dare reverse to look it up." Steven then says as he decides instead to just pick up the camera and stops the recording.
ZAP!!!
Once the camera is back at recording Steven is seen back at Beach City once more.
"Okay. After a few problems with keeping this thing from others I am now ready to show you one of my all time favourite places at the whole town!" Steven said as he was turning the camera around to show his face as he said, "Big Donut!" while showing said big donut that was used to market the store in question.
"Let's go inside!" Steven said before push open the door, and taking his filming inside the small store where two teenagers was seen working.
"Oh, hey Steven!" The girl at the counter said as Steven explained to the viewers that "This wonderful lady at the desk is Sadie" (Which he got a small "Thanks" in return from her for the compliment), before turning the camera over and saying "And the guy that is right now trying to pick his nose without anyone seeing it is Lars." as Lars was indeed having one of his fingers way up his nose trying to get rid of one annoying booger when he saw the big camera filming him.
"STEVEN! Get that thing away from me!" Lars said as he turned around and quickly got his finger out, to which Sadie couldn't help but laugh a little bit over Lars not seeing Steven being there until now.
"Oh come on Lars! You have to admit it was pretty funny how you didn't even notice Steven until now." Sadie said as Steven was trying to get his camera closer to film Lars's face.
"Get that thing away from me!" Lars shouted as he almost smacked the camera out of Steven's hands when the gem boy was getting a bit to close. "What is even the point of you making this? Would there ever be something worth to record around here?"
Not liking the very overly aggressive way Lars was acting right now Sadie came up with a perfect way to put him in his place as she pulled out her cell phone and said, "I would believe that there is something Steven would like to record seeing here..." before starting a recorded film from it.
"I've got a pair of eyes that they're getting lost in,
They're hypnotized by the way I'm walking,
I've got them dazzled like a stage magician,
When I point, they look, and when I talk, they listen, well,"
(It was a video of Lars in the storage room singing and dancing to the song "Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star)", and unlike Sadie he wasn't very good at performing.)
"WHAT?! When did you film that?!" Lars asked in a state of panic now.
"I just heard one day how you where going on, and when seeing you I just knew I had to remember this somehow." Sadie said as she looked very pleased with how embarrassed Lars was getting over this.
"Steven! Stop recording this, now!" Lars said as he tried to toss himself over the counted to grab Steven's camera, but he only got halfway there before the rest of his body got stopped by it, and instead he ended up landing his head and arms into the floor!
"I think I better leave now. I've got a lot more interesting stuff to film." Steven said as he made a quick exit from the shop, and turned the thing off so that he would be able to focus on running away much more quicker!
ZAP!!!
When the camera was back into recording Steven was now sitting at a park bench, and catching his breath from outrunning Lars.
"Sorry for that sudden cut, but I needed to be sure that Lars wasn't after me any longer." Steven said as he looked around at his current surroundings.
"I'm not really sure what to talk about right now since my planned journey for the day has been all kinds of tossed around, but maybe we could...?" Steven was saying into the camera when a very familiar tune was starting to be heard.
"♫Ma-yor-De-wey! ♫"
"♫May-or-De-wey! ♫"
"♫May-or-De-wey! ♫"
Looking over his shoulder (And with the camera still held in a position to capture what Steven was looking at) Steven saw how a big van with a giant fake head on top of it came driving by, and it could be seen that behind the wheels was none other then the city's mayor driving it.
"That's Bill Dewey driving by. He is Beach City's mayor, and basically has the job of making sure everyone else in the town is being happy to live here." Steven said as the wan was just about to drove pass where Steven was sitting.
Mayor Bill Dewey could be seen noticing the large camera that Steven was holding, and getting all excited he made sure to quickly find close place to park his wan before rushing over to look closer at it.
"I have to say I am pretty impressed with how much of a big and important job Mayor Dewey has. He has to try and keep order for a whole city, when I barley can even keep my own cloth drawers in check!" Steven said into his recordings before noticing said mayor now standing next to him and looking down.
"Oh, hey Mayor Dewey! How's it going?" Steven asked as the Mayor looked at the camera and said, "I recognize that type of camera anywhere!"
"You do?" Steven asked confused as the Mayor explained that this was the same type of camera all real news reporters where using when interviewing for TV.
"And that must mean that you are now planning to make a very important scoop about how well I am doing my job?" Mayor Dewey asked as Steven tried to explain it all, but Bill just schussed Steven as he explained that, "Luckily I always am prepared for this sort of situations!" before suddenly pulling out from his pants pocket a folded up paper mass, that once folded out revealed it to be an almost 10 feet long stack of constant paper!
"What is that?!" Steven asked out in confusion as the Mayor told him that it was his "Small Speech for sudden interviews", before starting to read it from the top into the camera.
"As the great Mayor of Beach City I am always ready for the most unpredictable of challenges to battle! No matter if it is bad weather, low tourism, or those nasty little pieces of crumbled up paper that is always found littering around, I will always be ready to fight for turning it all around in my town! A vote for Bill Dewey is a vote for a better Beach City! And I'm also..." The Mayor was saying before suddenly the image started to go away...
ZAP!!!
...and instead we where shown seeing Steven looking into the camera again. (And that the sun in the background had been lowering a good bit compared to the previous clip.)
"Sorry for doing that, but he ended up talking so much that the camera ran out of space. So I had to start record the rest of the footage over a big portion of his speech." Steven explained as he started to think what more he could have time to film before this day would be over soon.
"Give how little time is left I guess the best thing to do is to go back to the Beach House, and letting you all meet the gems."
ZAP!!!
Next time the camera starts recording it shows once again Steven holding it in front of him, with the home of him and gems in the background.
"This is where the gems decided to settle down when they wanted to stay on Earth, and they build this giant statue to live in." Steven said as he lifted the camera up to get all of the massive monument, before reminding himself to also lower it a bit again to add in, "And later when I also became a part of the team we built that beach house in front of it, so that I would also have somewhere to live."
"Let's take a look inside now." Steven then said before cutting the image again...
ZAP!!!
...and this time now being inside the door of the beach house.
"Here we finally are now. This is my home and let me show you around a bit." Steven said as he started taking the camera around the big open room to show all the places.
"Here is the kitchen where I do all my cooking and food, up here is where my bed is laying along with my video game consoles, and oh..." Steven said as he got a bit lost for words at first before saying, "...and that is the portrait of my mother, which is the only real visual way of knowing how she looked like...until I saw that tape." at which point Steven once again got a bit silent, as he was just starring down and almost looking like he was about to fall a tear.
"Hey Steven, what's ya doin?" A voice could suddenly be heard, and as Steven turned the camera around the viewers could see that it was the purple gem Amethyst that had now showed up to make Steven company.
"Oh, hey Amethyst!" Steven said as he got down to join her before explaining his whole recording thing.
"So what now? Do you want me to do something crazy and trendy to this thing?" Amethyst asked, and before Steven could even say "actually no, it's..." she had already dashed off into the kitchen to grab some stuff.
"YO!" Amethyst shouted out to Steven (Making him turn to have the camera face the kitchen counter) as Amethyst was seen now wearing a back turned cap and some shades and saying, "You all out three say that there is nothing more challenging then "The Cinnamon Challenge", right? Just having to swallow a small spoonful of the stuff."
"Well not me!" Amethyst shouted as she tossed up a big sack onto the counter. "Let's see what all your reactions will be once I have been swallowing this whole load!"
And just like she said Amethyst then lifted the whole thing above her head, before she open up her mouth widely and had it all pouring out!
Amethyst was known for having a pretty big appetite, but she might have overdone a bit how she open up the sack as the flow of cinnamon was so huge that it ended up falling all over and around her!
Soon the purple gem ended up completely covered in the light brown powder, had her cap and shades knocked of her head from the shower rush, and a good portion of both the counter and the floor was now pretty messy as a result of it!
Being now in an almost completely different colour then her usual self Amethyst just casually wiped some of the powder off her gem stone before looking into the camera, holding up a finger as a "wait for it" signal, and then letting out a big "BURP!!!" that made her let out a bit of the large portion of pure cinnamon powder that was now stored inside her gut.
"Bet that if you can." Was her final message to all the "followers" that would later be watching this, before picking up her shades and putting them back on, and then just leaving the place like a boss.
While being fairly impressed with Amethyst great feat, Steven was not feeling very pleased with the mess she had left behind. (Or that he might end up getting the blame for it.)
"I...think I will also leave this place for now. Maybe check what Pearl is doing instead?" Steven could be heard saying as he went to the teleportation platform to beam himself to her.
"Not sure if the camera can handle a teleportation, so I think I better keep it bubbled until I'm there." Steven said as he prepared a small pink bubble for the camera, before turning the thing off.
ZAP!!!
Once starting up again Steven seemed to be hiding and was whispering, "I have just found Pearl, and you will love to see this." into the camera before lifting it above his hiding place.
What the viewer could witness was how both Pearl and Connie (Steven's best human friend) was in the middle of doing sword fighting against what was looking like two holographic clones of Pearl. (And it seemed to be going really well for the two of them.)
"Ever since first time Earth got invaded by other gems from the home world Connie has wished to be of more help to the team, so Pearl has been teaching her a lot about how to fight in combats." Steven whispered as he peeked over to witness some of the great moves and techniques that Connie had been mastering.
Thinking that they had everything under control Steven came out from his hiding place and shouted "Hey Pearl & Connie! Look what I got!", and from the camera's perspective one could see how the two fighting females got first surprised and then terrified as Pearl shouted back, "Steven no! Back off!"
"Why's that?" Steven asked before suddenly the two clones of Pearl teleported away from ones they where fighting, and instead remerged close to Steven (Plus with a third clone), and saying in unity "A new challenger has approached! Prepare for battle!" as they all pulled their own swords!
"Uh-oh!" Steven said scarily as the three Pearl clones was about to attack him, when suddenly the original Pearl came charging in and slicing one of the three holograms to pieces!
"Back off Steven!" Pearl shouted out as Steven didn't hesitate to hide behind his hiding spot once again, as Pearl didn't hold back as she made sure to put an end to the other two fighting holograms!
Lifting up his camera carefully again Steven got to witness how the otherwise gentle and elegant of the gems now was acting like a ruthless assassin, as she stabbed, sliced, and cut the remaining holograms into barley recognizable pieces!
Once the fighting was all done did Steven dare to come up, and he apologized for walking into the middle of their training like that.
"I understand that you didn't mean to cause any troubles, but I would kindly wish for you now to leave this place now, as I can't not stand for putting your life at risk." Pearl explained.
"Maybe there is someone else that you can film for a while?" Connie asked, to which Steven thought for a second before saying, "Oh yeah! Garnet! Thanks Connie." as he went back to the portal.
"Guess I just got Garnet left to meet before I call this a day." Steven said before preparing to bubble his camera again.
ZAP!!!
"Okay. Finding Garnet was a lot harder then I thought, but I finally did it!" Steven said as he was filming said gem walking towards him inside of some corridor.
"Where are you heading Garnet?..." Steven was asking as Garnet on the way passing him simply placed her hand over the lens and said, "No comments." before walking off. (Combined with the shades she always was wearing almost made her appearance feel like that of a celebrity avoiding a paparazzi.)
"Hey! Wait!" Steven shouted as he tried to follow her, but as soon as she entered into the special Temple Gate it got locked behind her.
"Darn it!" Steven said to himself before getting an idea.
"But I think I know where she is heading, and if that's so then I know a second way to get there!" Steven said into the camera before turning it off.
ZAP!!!
When the camera was back on it was showing Steven as he was climbing down what looked like a big pole inside some kind of other dimension.
"I'm taking this ride down cause I think Garnet is heading towards the "Bubble Room", and I think we might be able to film when she does something really cool!" Steven said before reaching a landing point, and going to hide again as Garnet enters.
This time Steven notices how she is carrying a small gemstone that she then puts into a bubble, before trying to levitate it into putting it in it's place.
"So cool." Steven accidentally said loud enough so that Garnet's concentration got broken, and she ended up making the protective bubble pop!
With nothing to keep the gemstone under control it suddenly started to lead out a massive glow, before turning into a spider looking creature!
Starting to crawl all over the walls Garnet was barley able to aim her punches against it, as the monster was getting it's eyes set onto Steven's camera!
"Steven! Look out!" Garnet shouted as the Spider came jumping towards the small boy, before suddenly one of Garnet's huge power fists came in and punched the thing right into the nearest wall!
Steven took the chance to take cover right at the moment when also Pearl and Amethyst came running into the room.
"We heard that there was something happening down here...OH DEAR ROSE!" Pearl said in shock as soon as she saw just what Garnet was trying to keep busy, and it didn't take long for the two other gems to join in!
Holding up his camera again Steven got a pretty good view from a safe distance of seeing all three gems using their different strengths to take on their common foe.
Garnet kept on using her enlarged rock hard fists to deliver countless punches onto the spider's thick body, as Pearl was defending herself by reflecting her sword against it's claws and fangs, and Amethyst used her trusty whip to grab onto one of it's many legs and pull it hard to make it tip over.
The spider was a really though being to defeat, but finally it let out a final screech before getting poofed off into a small gemstone yet again.
Placing it into it's little bubble protection once again Garnet could this time then put the monster at it's personal little space and leave it there.
"How could that monster manage to break free from the bubble?" Pearl asked confused as Garnet just simply replied "Guess just once.", before pointing over to where Steven was hiding.
As Steven noticed that all the gems was looking pretty displeased with his behaviour he placed the camera to the side (While having it still recording), as he walked up to them.
"I'm so sorry for having caused you all this trouble. I just thought it would be fun to have little recordings of you all. Something that maybe later could be used to help remembering the times that we had spending together. Cause sometimes...sometimes you never know when those times will end." Steven said as he started to get a bit teared up over being so honest with his actions, and it was very clear that also the Crystal Gems was sharing his deep feelings.
"We where a bit upset at the time over your sudden filming of us, but it is fully understandable why you waned to do that." Pearl said as she comforted the young boy with a hug.
"If it makes you feel better we can always shoot a scene with us all together." Garnet suggested, which made Steven start smiling again as he said that, "I might have an idea."
ZAP!!!
With the camera back up running again it was now showing all four members of the Crystal Gems sitting together back in Steven's room, as Steven himself was having his guitar strapped on.
"All set and ready!" Pearl said as she went back to sit with the rest of the group.
"Great! And before I start I just want to let you all know that I will always make sure to have you be a part of my memories. No matter what happens to this film in this future." Steven said before taking the first notes.
What followed then was the four of them singing together their own little theme song about who they are, and how they will always be ready to save the day.
It was a very fitting way to close down this home movie experience as many years later it would be watched again by Steven. (As now being an adult like his dad.)
Seeing all those memories from his childhood once more was really something to lay a timeless smile upon the fully grown up Steven's face, as once it was over he had a good chuckle over what he had seen before saying that it was surely, "Some real good times."
