Zale can conjure magic water that floats and spins around him. They work as shields with regenerative properties.

Also a good way to provide light in the deep dark cavernous sea labyrinth.

From one of his experience:

He learned this trick from the time he got lost in an underground cave by being sucked by a massive whirlpool and got trapped inside. Only to have seen weird floating lights above him that seemingly looked like glowing hibiscus flowers leading him to a way out of the caves. In the story he had to fight off a very ancient and harmless beautiful flower fossil monster thingy (I have the designs just can't draw) that was blocking his exit so that he can survive.
