At the zoo where I work, we recently got a couple of new animals from the San Diego Zoo - the fossa (pronounced 'foosa')! They're native to Madagascar (you might remember them from the movie) and they are the largest native mammalian carnivore there.

After spending several hours today staring at the exhibit, I've decided that our male fossa is just about the most charming creature in the world, and I'm madly in love with him. He's almost 6 feet long from nose to tail-tip. He's SO CUTE.
