As a sort of sequel to my recent 'photo-op' with animation director Friz Freleng, here I am again at the Circle Gallery in midtown Manhattan (Circa the late 1980s), where an exhibit of cartoon art (original production cels and "limited edition" cels) by Mr. Freleng was being displayed, and to help promote said exhibit was a fursuiter dressed up like one of Friz' best-known characters, 'The Pink Panther'! So, naturally, I struck a pose with the panther, that very same night that I also had my picture taken with Mr. Freleng. (Cue the Henry Mancini music!)

Sure would, "The Pink Panther" played a really nice part on my childhood! I had videos of the Freleng cartoons and the edutainment PC game I had that starred The Pink Panther was my favourite PC game back then so of course I'm very impressed! ^^
Then again, meeting Freleng too in the same day is just as fantastic, or even more sor! :D

The only time I saw a life-sized 'Pink Panther' plush figure was back in the late 1960s (or early 1970s), when I went to the New York Automobile Show at the Coliseum, and saw this gigantic doll sitting beside a customized car (painted pink, naturally) - which was featured in the opening and closing title sequence of "The Pink Panther Show", Saturday mornings on NBC. If I can find that photograph I took of it back then (with my Instamatic camera), I'd be more than happy to post it here!
