And now for something informative and hopefully useful.

Also works with humie chow, just try not to eat off the scoop, it's a lip-cutting hazard.

I use little air sealed bags of wet food with sauce, much easier.

I get more food from a tin than a packet of the same price.

Huh. I just buy a bulk box of 18 packets for about €5. And the good stuff too, low sodium, very little filler, Purina.

I'm guessing it's a matter of availability.

Fancy Feast? Old Kitty lived on that everyday to his death at $1 a packet. Purina is expensive.

For Squeaky, japanese brands and Cindy's. Whole pieces of actual visible fish, 1 can for a whole day.

It's a Purina brand here called Felix, it's generally praised for being healthy and low-sodium (sodium being a main cause for health issues in older cats) while also being affordable. I give my cats both dry and wet food with as much variety as is allowed.

I do a similiar thing with single serve foil sealed yogurt cups. Fold foil disc in half and then bend into scoop. Mind the edges.

Unless I have a particularly stubborn can, I'm usually able to just dump the stuff on the plate by shaking it out, and then I can cut it up (if need be) by using the edge of the can. If I tried the that lid trick I'd probably end up slipping and cutting my hand.

Interesting idea. We usually feed kibble, but gooshy food is a special treat.

That not going to work with the non metallic containers that have foil lids.

for me usually the plastic containers work better cause it just comes right out. You can also use the lid you peel off and scoop with your fingers so no mess!
