Iron Artist 2017 80/100
(little thistle all grow'd up)
I don't have a lot of great references in my gallery--it's mostly illustrations or concept doodles--so I'd like to try to make a few more! Since I'm so far behind on Iron Artist again, I want to try to get some simple, quick pieces out... And work on my reference sheet making skills! Wowie
I also included the "palette", even though this is done with markers, so the blended colors can effectively be shown... You might be surprised to know just how much blending of various colors goes on in my marker drawings just so I can achieve the right shades!
Other than being shiny, Cosette differs from her parents in a few notable ways:
She has a much more upturned nose than her father, her teeth aren't as long and pronounced as his, and the "v" on her chest doesn't dip as low, though the fronds coming from it are still rather big like his are! She also has a more intricate marking on her face, though it's sort of relatable to his double pointed markings... Her hair is red, though this is similar to Rosamund's super pink hair... But she definitely has her father's messy/curly hair. When she grows up, she likes to wear it short like this so nobody can grab her by it when she's fighting. (she doesn't really care how many people say it makes her look like a boy) Her eyes are hazel but tinged with a slight red, as is pretty common for snivies and their kin. Unlike most snivies though, Cosette's tongue, blush, and internal tissues are a vivacious purple-pink due to the thistle leaves she has! As a wee little girl, she even had rosy thistle-colored cheeks! Baw, how cute
Though her underbelly looks white, it's actually just a few shades off! the marker I used for this effect is called "almond milk," and is one of my favorite colors to use despite barely being recognizable as a color
