I have been on SUCH the Norse mythology kick lately. I love the myth of Andvari's Hoard, where Loki, who killed an otter out of total assholery, has to get recompense for it, as the otter was a smith's son transformed. A PIECE OF GOLD FOR EVERY HAIR ON OTTER'S BODY. Only Andvari, the greedy dwarf has that much gold! Loki gets the sea goddess' magic net to capture Andvari (who can turn into a pike lol) and hold the gold. Andvari tries to hide a ring, but Loki takes it for himself. The dwarf puts a curse on the ring, and also Gulveig, the evil witch comes out.

TL;DR Loki's an asshole who kills otters and steals rings like a pretty girl.
