Dovah and Necire make their way through the big forest known as Kuya Woods, the destination their trying to reach is beyond here, as the two are making tracks they soon realized that they were being watched from the shadows of the trees. Kuya Woods is the territory to some frightening creatures, but this didn't sway the two felines, in fact they welcome the challenge.
Necire: Well well we got company.
Dovah: Seems they got us surrounded, no big deal. Nothing we can't handle.
Necire: This will end quickly.
Dovah: Think you can intimidate me with sheer numbers? Come on, let's see what you can do!

You're welcome ^++^ I wish I had the attention span to give D&D a go, but I've never been huge on what I consider the more cerebral games, though I imagine it could also be very rewarding (is it considered a strategy RPG game? Kind of like Magic: The Gathering?)
I also tried League of Legends for a few years with friends, but the gameplay never kept me playing, it was just hanging out and messing around and feeling that I was appreciated by the team for my comedic contributions to the game in the form of never taking it quite seriously enough and self-deprecation, as well as blowing off trolls and enjoying when people took the game too seriously (my opinion only), but sometimes the trolls got to me *chuckles and shrugs*
I'm sorry, I went on a bit of a tangent there. But yep, I consider "waylaid" to be a far less commonly used word in the English language, but very fun to use when the opportunity presents itself (should "itself" part of the sentence or is it a dangling participle or something? I'm just being verbose too, sorry lol, you seem to be good and language and I like to learn and am curious when I find someone proficient in English).

Oh please, nothing to be sorry about. No you used itself in a proper manner. Yes, D&D is essentially the original RPG done with pen and paper. It's role playing, in my opinion, at one of it's best. If you are ever interested, just google dungeons and dragons and read up upon the vast lore and history of the game as well as the many settings that you can play in.
