Something I did a few years ago. Reposting it, because I felt like it after watching both of the movies again. :D

Well, at the end is when everything was set right. I see it as Frank was originally just a creation of Donnies mind to begin with. He had several drawings of Frank that you see a lot before the end of the movie, so he could easily have dropped it at school and someone could have picked it up and thought it was cool, and made a costume out of it. Or something. lol And Donnies mind was already wierd enough as it, so him having a kind of precognitive thing, ie, being able know what Frank really looked like before he ever actually saw him; knowing what was in the guys basement, other such things would be pretty plausible. SOOOooo, if you take all of that into consideration, he may have already known what was going to happen, so his subconcious mind reached into the future and pulled Frank out of the possibilities of what might be and 'saved' him. In doing so, Donnie latched onto the concept of Frank, drawing him, writing about him, what-have-you, spawned the guy who dressed up as Frank to dress up as Frank and that all rounded back around to the fact that Donnie was supposed to die when he first met Frank. lol
If that doesn't make much sense, it's probably because I didn't sleep at all last night and I'm still awake. lol

lol Everything went back to the way it was supposed to be. That's the basics that my too tired mind is trying to expand on. Watching the movie in excess of forty times or more actually gave me a thoery on time travel, too. Of course, I was just as tired then as I am now...[insert continued sleepy ramblings here]
