UPDATE INFO: this was another page where I only did some very minor touch-ups. Fixed up Kib's snout on panel 5 and adjusted Nine's head and hair a bit on the last panel.

Well, we're at the halfway point of this story, guys. And I'm gonna give you guys a multiple choice quiz. How long do you think this page took me?

A: A couple of hours
B: An afternoon
C: Any other reasonable amount of time
D: The correct answer; around 18 hours because I'm slow as hell at artwork!

I took over the coloring again on this one; not because Sol was doing a bad job (far from it!) but because I wanted the fact that I was working on this page to be - in the words of a great scholar - a secret to everybody.

The... ahem... "background story" was definitely my favorite part of this page; and ironically the most time-consuming. Chocobos in general are surprisingly difficult to draw, and Cottonfeather in particular has a rather fancy armor design that I wanted to get right.

But yeah, Mimic didn't actually hurt Cottonfeather, and Cottonfeather isn't actually angry at him; it was just some friendly roughhousing from two unusual beings. =)
